Mercedes Moné Confirms Talks For Megan Thee Stallion Collaboration

Before Megan Thee Stallion collaborated with WWE, Mercedes Mone had been interested in collaborating with the hip-hop artist, be it a tag team or singles match.

Mone and Stallion met at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in Japan, where they expressed mutual admiration for each other. This led to discussions between their managers about a potential collaboration.

In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Mone expressed her desire to wrestle alongside or against Stallion.

The AEW TBS Champion said, “A couple years back me and Meg we’re supposed to do something in the ring together. We were just rehashing that conversation, seeing where that could all play in the future. Whether she’s gonna be my tag team partner or my opponent, we have to see, but I want to get Meg Thee Stallion in the ring very, very soon one day.”

Mone continued, “I’ve been busier than ever, so Hollywood is definitely in the pursuit. Alongside with makeup, music, still doing music every single day. Trying to get an album to come out, going to be producing something in December.”

Stallion’s song “Neva Play” is currently the opening theme for WWE Friday Night SmackDown on the USA Network. WWE’s decision to use Stallion’s song surprised Mone’s inner circle.

As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, Stallion was expected to partner with Mone in AEW. After both parties agreed to “do something together,” Mone publicly proposed having Stallion in the wrestling ring.
