Meanwhile, as the report hit social media, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s (who previously played Mr. Freeze) son, Patrick Schwarzenegger addressed the rumors via his X account. This caused a surge in anticipation surrounding how cool it would be, if the 31-year-old star was cast to fill in his father’s shoes, as the rumored villain in The Batman Part 2.

Mr. Freeze is rumored to appear in Robert Pattinson’s The Batman Part 2

After Matt Reeves‘ The Batman introduced Colin Farrell’s The Penguin, and a short glimpse from Barry Keoghan’s Joker, fans are now getting overly curious about who might serve as the villain in the upcoming sequel. While there have been rumors about Clayface joining the franchise, Jeff Sneider recently revealed the possibility of an appearance from Mr. Freeze, during his The Hot Mic podcast.

After Matt Reeves recently confirmed that Robert Pattinson’s The Batman Part 2 will release in the winter of 2027—after it got rescheduled under Warner Bros—it seems that Mr. Freeze could indeed be a suitable villain for the sequel. But as of now, there has been no confirmation from the filmmaker or the studio regarding the introduction of the villain in the upcoming installment.

Previously, the role of Mr. Freeze was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in Joel Schumacher’s disastrous movie Batman & Robin. Considering how the film turned out to be a box office catastrophe, it almost became unlikely for the villain to reappear in the DC universe. But now with rumors from Jeff Sneider, there seems to be hope for Schwarzenegger’s character to grace the big screen.

Thereafter, as the report hit social media, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son Patrick Schwarzenegger took to his X account to offer his take on the rumor. Claiming to be excited about the possible return of the character previously donned by his father, the 31-year-old star called it “sick”. But while the actor appeared excited about another star filling in his father’s shoes, fans began hoping for him to don the role.

Given how Patrick Schwarzenegger is at the right age to play the villain opposite Robert Pattinson’s titular character, there appeared a surge in anticipation among netizens. Well, there’s no denying that Schwarzenegger’s casting in the potential role would create history for DC studios, where both father and son could play the same role.

But as of now, since the character’s appearance hasn’t yet been confirmed, it might be rather far-fetched to imagine Patrick Schwarzenegger taking on the role. Although it would be really COOL to see the veteran legend pass on the torch to his 31-year-old son.

The Batman Part 2 has been scheduled to hit the theatres in 2027.
