Knicks fans say Cardi B ‘CURSED’ team in loss to Sixers… after rapper and husband Offset are shown moments before team’s fourth-quarter collapse

Knicks fans have accused Cardi B of ‘cursing’ their team on Tuesday night, after the rap star and her husband Offset were shown on the jumbotron moments before the team’s collapse to the Sixers.

The music couple apparently arrived late to the game at Madison Square Garden before appearing on the big screen with just 28.9 seconds left, as the Knicks led 96-90 and had one foot in the conference semifinals.

However, two-three pointers from Tyrese Maxey allowed Philadelphia to force overtime and ultimately pull of a miraculous comeback win, leading many Knicks fans to direct their anger at the ‘Bodak Yellow’ artist.

‘Never let her in again,’ one X user wrote in response to X account New York Basketball sharing a video of Cardi B and Offset onscreen.

‘Keep her away from the KNICKS,’ another said.

Another branded the shocking loss the ‘Curse of Cardi B.’

Earlier in the series, Sixers wing Kelly Oubre Jr. took a shot at the Knicks’ celebrity row, and the team’s culture of giving complimentary tickets to A-listers.

‘They’re gonna give celebrities those $100,000 [worth of] free tickets just to be there and not care about the game,’ Oubre told reporters. ‘That’s what they do.’

Cardi B and Offset’s late arrival on Tuesday, combined with Emily Ratajkowski’s early exit from a Knicks comeback earlier this season (she was subsequently denied her usual free ticket for a Rangers game) shows Oubre may have a point.

The Knicks looked set to beat the Sixers in five games on Tuesday night before Maxey’s heroics, as the former University of Kentucky guard finished the game with a monstrous stat line of 46 points, five rebounds and nine assists in 52 minutes to send the series back to Philadelphia.

New York led by two with 15.1 seconds remaining when Josh Hart went to the free throw line for the Knicks.

He missed the first attempt, opening the door for Maxey to tie the game with an outrageous logo three-pointer seven seconds later.

The Knicks’ Jalen Brunson scored 40 points in the loss.

Game 6 – which remains a must-win for the Sixers, who now trail 3-2 in the series – will tip off at 9pm ET on Thursday.
