Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been delivered a new blow after their “dear friend” was hired by Prince William.
The Prince of Wales has taken on José Andrés, a food charity founder, to help lead his £50million global eco-project, the Earthshot Prize. The 55-year-old will join Cate Blanchett and Sir David Attenborough – among other A-listers – on the prize’s council.
He has known the Sussexes for four and a half years, receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars of grants from Archewell for his charity World Central Kitchen.
The couple called Andrés a “longtime friend and partner” and he said his “dear friends” bring “hope to every community (they) touch” with “a smile and empathy”.
