We talked about it a lot. We went through a lot of iterations of it, and ultimately this felt like the most Emily in Paris version of the story. And also just we wanted to carry the stakes of it as long as possible, and we certainly did the research to make sure we had it all backed up, which we did.

After learning that she’s not actually pregnant, she goes to tell Gabriel the news, but is unable to inform him after seeing him in a good mood at his restaurant. Despite having to bear such a big reveal in Emily in Paris season 4 part 1’s ending, it seems she won’t be telling many people what happened. This is made all the more complicated by her ex-boyfriend and Emily getting together in the final episode, indicating what comes next is going to be full of drama and tension. Especially now that Camille hasn’t told the would-be father the truth.

Since Emily in Paris season 4 has five episodes left, it gives Camille plenty of time to ruminate on what she’s going to do now that she knows her pregnancy was a false positive. Depending on her reaction to knowing Emily and Gabriel are together now, she might either tell him to make their relationship easier, or keep it from him due to not knowing what his reaction will be. It’s also possible somebody else, such as Alfie, will learn the truth, perhaps using it in a vindictive way out of desperation or revenge.

Given the number of possibilities pertaining to the truth about Camille’s pregnancy, Emily in Paris season 4 part 2 has an open door for her story to continue in a number of ways. Beyond the information getting to the ears of other characters, it will also impact her going forward and what she decides to do now that she’s aware of the truth. With plenty of ways this could develop for her, it remains to be seen how the false pregnancy storyline will continue throughout the rest of the season.

Emily in Paris season 4 part 2 arrives on Netflix on September 12, 2024.
