While many seems concerned for the singer Cardi B, she clapped back saying they were all faking it. She mentioned how these were the same people who trolled her for gaining weight.
Cardi B postpartum workout
“Since I’m off tonight, I’m doing a late-night gym session… No heavy lifting, no weights, just the stair master. I’ll start lifting with @fitking_plem next week,” Cardi wrote, after announcing the birth of her baby girl with Offset, 32, on Thursday. She reminded everyone, “This is my third baby. With my other two, I was still on bedrest in the first week postpartum.”
Cardi gives reason for workout
Some people didn’t agree with her decision to work out so soon, but Cardi quickly clapped back. She explained that her workout is more about avoiding postpartum depression than trying to “snap back” to her pre-baby body.
“I’m not doing any heavy lifting or intense exercises—just cardio. Sometimes, to avoid postpartum depression, you need to keep your mind busy, and for me, that’s staying active,” she told a fan on Twitter.
Cardi also responded to a fan who pointed out the pressure women in the industry face to lose weight after giving birth.
Cardi B had enough from the trolls
She fired back, “You know what’s funny? Y’all dragged me when I gained 15 pounds at 5 months pregnant, but now you’re fake concerned and talking about pressure?”
“Y’all said I was using my pregnancy as an excuse to avoid working, and now that you see I’m still going, it’s something else? So yeah, I’m doing this for me because either way, y’all will have something to say.”
However, she softened her tone after the fan clarified they were speaking more generally. Cardi responded, “Totally agree about society and pressure. I’ve just never cared much about ‘snapping back’ after birth.”
