Cardi B Denies Homophobia Claims After Spat With Nicki Minaj Fan | HipHopDX

Cardi B has rubbished accusations that she’s homophobic after getting into a social media spat with a fan of her bitter rival Nicki Minaj.

The Bronx rap star took to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday (July 23) to clap back at a user who filmed himself spitting on her wax model at Madame Tussauds Hollywood.

The video shows the man in question standing next to Cardi’s life-like figurine and saying: “They don’t have you in the dark shadows for no reason, bitch. Nobody likes you.”

He then spits in the wax’s model’s face and says, “Bitch” before walking away. Fittingly for the Nicki fan, the Young Money rapper’s hit single “Starships” was playing in the background at the time.

Cardi responded by calling the man’s masculinity into question, writing: “But when I said be a BOY.”

When another user asked if she keeps the same energy with celebrity blogger KenBarbie, she replied: “Ken dont act like that and can build a ikea set…. He a man [crying face emoji].”

The “Bodak Yellow” was then accused by someone else of being homophobic towards the Nicki fan, but she was quick to shut down that assertion.

“Stop wit the fake homophobia bullshit. Im not homophobic I don’t care wtf you like to fuck and suck and eat on but be a fuckin BOY you a grown ass man spitting at a wax figure of me,” she wrote.

“I wouldn’t allow no straight man buck on me ever! If you suck dick like me you not buckin on me neither and that’s just that!”

The man who spat at her wax model hit back at Cardi’s “boy” taunt by posting a photo of him smiling next to Nicki Minaj’s Madame Tussauds model.

He wrote: “[cross mark emojis] Be a Mother Be a Wife[.] Worried about me being a boy When your Husband is Messing with Ladies With Sticks @NICKIMINAJ Nicki Is Better #Barbz @BarbzFeedx.”

Despite the allegations of homophobia, Cardi B has long been a vocal supporter of the LGBTQ community.

Back in 2022, the Grammy-winner took aim at homophobes on X (then Twitter) by writing: “Every bad bitch have a gay best friend cousin…if you homophobic you just ugly.”

Before that, a visibly pregnant Cardi officiated a same-sex wedding with the assistance of former Cosby kid Raven-Symoné for her Facebook series Cardi Tries.

“You are probably wondering why I’m here,” Cardi said during the episode after surprising the lesbian couple on their special day. “I’m going to get these two beautiful ladies married.

“Not only is it a special day for you guys, but it’s a special day for me. I want to thank you guys for making me a part of your beautiful journey.”

As the ceremony came to a close, Cardi said the magic words every bride wants to hear: “By the power vested in me by the state of California and my online course, I now pronounce you wife and wife.”
