On September 16, Billboard announced Megan Thee Stallion’s new single Neva Play featuring RM had debuted at No. 36 on this week’s Hot 100 chart. This is a new record for BTS member RM.
BTS’ RM creates new record
With this achievement of Neva Play, RM has earned his highest-charting solo track to date and his second entry on the Hot 100, after Wild Flower (featuring Cho Youjeen), the title track of his first solo album Indigo. Wild Flower had debuted at No. 83 on the Hot 100 back in 2022.
Neva Play is WWE SmackDown’s new theme song
The popularity of the song can be measured by the fact that it is now a part of WWE’s legacy. On September 13, WWE SmackDown kicked off a new era as the show returned to USA Network for the first time since 2019. A new era means a new intro song and nothing can be better than BTS leader RM and Megan Thee Stallion’s Neva Play.

For the unversed, on September 6, RM and Megan Thee Stallion released a collaborative single, titled Neva Play. The catchy track was written and produced by Megan Thee Stallion, LilJuMadeDaBeat, Shae Jacobs, B Ham, Peter Fenn, RM and Hadar Adora.
Megan and BTS go way back, and this is not the first time she has worked with a member of BTS. Before Neva Play, Megan Thee Stallion had featured on BTS’ Butter remix in 2021. The song was a huge hit, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard Global 200 as well as the Global excluding US.
