Kelsey Nicole has been trending in the headlines since she appeared as a model for an ad for the new Loci shoe line by Nicki Minaj. Notably, Nicole shared a close friendship with Megan Thee Stallion in the past, and the latter had been in a feud with Minaj for some time.

Nicki and Megan’s beef began with the release of a single titled Big Foot by Minaj. The song was a response to another diss track by Megan titled Hiss which seemingly referred to Nicki’s husband and his alleged involvement in an attempted r*pe case from 1995 where a 16-year-old girl was a victim.

Kelsey Nicole shared two Instagram posts, revealing her pictures as a model for the sneaker line. One of them included her sitting on top of a bicycle, followed by another reading a newspaper that featured a news report announcing the arrival of the new Nicki Minaj x Loci collection. Nicole wrote:

“Have y’all checked out the @locibynickiminaj shoe line? Now available at @dtlrofficial & @shoepalace I’m wearing the ‘Press Play’ shoe. This brand is eco friendly & constantly working to protecting future generations to come. Available in-store & online Shop @locibynickiminaj.”

Meanwhile, netizens took to different social media platforms to share their reactions as soon as the ad pictures went viral. The photos were even posted on X (Twitter) but were deleted later. A user wrote in response:

“Being used as a pawn is not a flex.”

Most of the users were spotted praising the new sneakers, saying that she was perfectly suitable for the ad. People additionally expressed their desire to purchase the new shoes as soon as possible.

Kelsey Nicole and Megan Thee Stallion’s issues began after the former testified in Tory Lanez’s trial

As mentioned, Kelsey Nicole and Megan Thee Stallion were close friends a few years ago. However, things took a different turn after the shooting incident of Megan in 2020 where she was injured and claimed on Instagram Live that she was shot by singer Tory Lanez.

Kelsey Nicole was reportedly present when the incident happened and there were speculations that she might be the shooter. Kelsey ended up criticizing Megan for not clarifying the rumors and testified during Tory Lanez’s trial in December 2022.

While Nicole requested protection during the trial, she tried to invoke her 5th Amendment rights, asking the judge if she had to answer a few questions. She even had issues while answering the questions and refused to accept the claim that she shot Megan. Nicole referred to the same by saying:

“I don’t want to be here today. It’s a triggering situation. I just don’t want to be here.”

On the other hand, Kelsey Nicole testified in September of the same year that she was threatened by Tory Lanez and later claimed that the information she gave to the investigators was not true, adding that she was trying to save herself.

Meanwhile, Megan Thee Stallion revealed during the trial that she and Tory Lanez bonded with each other over the loss of their mothers. She also claimed that Nicole reportedly had a crush on Tory Lanez and Kelsey tried to create issues by telling Megan she must not lie to her friend. The dispute took a worse turn after she and Lanez began targeting each other’s musical careers.
