Bachelor Nation is getting a new Bachelorette. This month, Jenn Tran will join the ranks of show leads looking for love while also making history as the first-ever Asian American Bachelorette. While Tran embarks on her own journey of the heart courting 25 different suitors from across the states, we look back upon the decades of “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” couples (and a couple of “Bachelor in Paradise” members as well) who have brought drama, passion and — most importantly — love to the ABC franchise for years.

Which pair of lovers are still in that final rose phase and which couples have gone the way of that sad limo ride into the sunset? Here is a collection of our absolute favorite TV pairs, along with some beloved friends of Bachelor Nation (those who aren’t technically contestants but still contend daily for our hearts; we see you, Sarah Hyland).

From recent winners Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson and Charity Lawson and Dotun Olubeko to the members of Bachelor royalty, including Becca Tilley, Matt James and Kaitlyn Bristowe, where are our favorite pairs now? Which former contestants have started a family and/or a podcast? Did Jared and Ashley get their happy ever after?

Which couples eloped at the city hall and which couples had a France fette worthy of its own romance film? Find out below.

Former “Bachelor” contestant turned Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe rose to fame as a fan favorite on the Chris Soules season, making it all the way to the final three. After landing her own season, despite being forced to compete for the title spot with co-contestant Britt Nilsson in a poorly conceived pre-show voting process, Bristowe brought in former contestant Nick Viall but ultimately left with Shawn Booth. Alas, the love was not meant to last, but eventually, Bristowe found romance with another “Bachelorette” contestant, Jason Tartick, who competed for the affection of Becca Kufrin in Season 14. After four years together, the duo publicly split in August of 2023.

“The Golden Bachelor” may have been a success with viewers and critics, but Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s love was not meant to last. Turner debuted as the first-ever senior bachelor to loads of praise and with him came a cast of contestants all worthy of their own spin-off. After many on-camera cries and meetings with the grandkids, Turner picked Nist as the match to his heart. ABC ramped up this excitement by airing a wedding special in Palm Springs which was heavily attended by other franchise stars and even included an engagement between Brayden Bowers and his fellow “Bachelor in Paradise” co-star Christina Mandrell.

BLAKESLEY SUTTER, TRISTA SUTTER, MAXWELL SUTTER, RYAN SUTTER

The first-ever Bachelorette, Trista Rehn, a former Miami Heat dancer turned pediatric physical therapist, set standards high for the Bachelor franchise for still being with her pick, Ryan Sutter, 21 years after the finale aired in 2003. Trista was the runner-up on the first season of “The Bachelor,” Alex Michel’s season. After getting her heart broken, Mike Fleiss, creator of the show, chose Trista to trailblaze “The Bachelorette.” She got engaged to Sutter, a firefighter from Colorado. The couple married on TV in 2003. They share two children, Maxwell and Blakesley, and the whole fam recently attended the “Golden Bachelor” wedding in 2024.

Rachel Lindsay gave Bryan Abasolo her first impression rose during her season of “The Bachelorette” in 2017. A clear front-runner for the entire journey, Abasolo proposed in Spain during the season’s finale. The two got married in 2019 and moved from Dallas to Miami to Los Angeles. On Dec. 31, 2023, Abasolo caught many fans off guard (and potentially Linsday herself) when he filed for divorce. The two remain in contentious divorce proceedings, which include Abasolo requesting for $16K for monthly spousal support, according to People.

Wells Adams, who participated in Jojo Fletcher’s season (and ultimately was sent home) was so beloved by both the cast, fans and crew that he was brought back to “Bachelor in Paradise” to bartend (and mostly console Ashley Iaconetti). The fan-favorite eventually wooed and won over the ultimate Bachelor fan, Sarah Hyland from “Modern Family” and recently the off-broadway production of “Little Shop of Horrors.” The actress and the host (who absolutely should host “The Bachelor” franchise at some point) were married in 2022.

The most recent couple in Bachelor Nation is Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson. Graziadei was season 28’s Bachelor. The couple got engaged in Tulum, Mexico, but before popping the question to Anderson, the runner-up, Daisy Kent, predicted that she was no longer in the running for the final rose and let both the Bachelor and Anderson know they had her blessing to move forward.

The pair announced during After the Final Rose they plan on moving to New York City this summer.

Matt James made history in the franchise as the first Black Bachelor for season 25. As the season was filmed, James fell in love with contestant Rachael Kirkconnell and gave her his final rose. However, James stated he didn’t feel ready to propose. After the finale was filmed, photos of Kirkconnell surfaced of her participating in an antebellum plantation-themed party. These racially insensitive photos were discussed on “The Bachelor’s” After the Final Rose episode, which James said broke his heart and he needed to take a step back from the relationship so Kirkconnell could work on herself. Kirkconnell shared that she understood and respected James’ decision

A few months later in May 2021, the couple announced they were giving their relationship another shot, and they currently remain together. The duo have documented their travels around the world together, Kirkconnell was spotted cheering on James as he ran the New York Marathon and James published the book “First Impressions: Off-Screen Conversations With a Bachelor on Race, Family, and Forgiveness.”

It’s a true love story for the ages, and it, of course, includes some twists and turns. The two met in 2015 on “Bachelor in Paradise” — and while sparks flew, they ended as just friends. Ashley Iaconetti’s lingering but unrequited feelings for Jared Haibon remained clear during the following season of “Bachelor in Paradise,” and she had several iconic cries over Haibon during that fateful 2016 summer. However, in early 2018, Iaconetti moved on with fellow Bachelor Nation star Kevin Wendt after meeting on “Bachelor Winter Games.” While that relationship had ended by March, in May, Iaconetti and Haibon publicly shared they were dating. By June of that year, they were engaged. (FWIW: Iaconetti later said on her “Almost Famous” podcast that she “was dating Kevin like out in the real world for two weeks and Jared came out about his feelings and he kissed me in the airport… Whether you call that cheating, that is up to you.”)

Despite their relationship’s rocky start, the two tied the knot in 2019 in Newport, Rhode Island and welcomed their first child in January 2022. And in January 2024, they announced they are expecting a second child together.

Becca Tilley and Hayley Kiyoko know a thing or two about keeping a relationship private. Tilley appeared on Season 19 (2015) and Season 20 (2016) of “The Bachelor,” but she ended up finding love off the show with singer and former Disney star Kiyoko. The two met at an album party for Kiyoko’s debut, “Expectations” in 2018. The two began dating that year but kept their relationship under wraps until May 2022, when they publicly revealed their relationship. One person who did know about their relationship was Taylor Swift. “I think that was the first person who knew outside of my friends and family,” Tilley said on her “On Scrubbing In” podcast.

Joe Amabile, also known as “Grocery Store Joe” made his Bachelor Nation debut on Becca Kufrin’s season of the “Bachelorette” but was sent home during the very first rose ceremony. Bereft fans demanded the return of the mild-mannered grocery store owner and he returned to “Bachelor in Paradise,” where he met Kendall Long. After almost two years of romance, the duo called it quits, and Amabile returned to “Paradise” and contestant Serena Pitt.

Pitt was a contestant on Matt James’ season of “The Bachelor,” but left in week 8.

Pitt and Amabile connected on “Bachelor in Paradise,” making it all the way to the end, culminating in a proposal from Amabile on the beach. The duo married in 2022 at City Hall in New York City; a year later, they celebrated with a ceremony at The Cedar Room in Charleston, South Carolina.

JASON MESNICK, MOLLY MESNICK

Jason Mesnick was widely considered the villain of “The Bachelor” season 13  in 2009. Mesnick, the first single dad of “The Bachelor,” initially proposed to Melissa Rycroft at the end of his season. However, he had a change of heart. On the live episode of After the Final Rose, he ended his engagement to Rycroft to pursue his runner-up Molly Malaney. Luckily, there was a happy ending as Mesnick and Malaney have been married since 2010 and share a second child named Riley, after his first, Tyler.
