Anne Hathaway discussed embracing her ‘femme fatale’ side in a glamorous new Vogue France cover story.
The actress, 41, wowed in a number of sizzling ensembles in the upcoming November issue, which will be available on newsstands and online on October 30.
In an Instagram teaser from the interview, the Devil Wears Prada star spoke about her more confident and sexy self-image in her forties, and how it contrasts her childhood dreams of becoming a nun.
‘Around 40, I see myself differently, I like to meet new facets of myself. This femme fatale is one of them,’ the Oscar winner — who recently showed off her spooky Halloween costume — said.
‘We are quite far from the nun that you dreamed of becoming, as a young girl,’ she added.

‘One of the privileges of being an actress is that you never need to confine or limit your identity. I feel fluid, and I am constantly evolving. I like to explore who I am,’ the star shared.
The star, who was raised Roman Catholic, previously spoke about wanting to become a nun in a 2011 interview with the Independent.
‘When I was younger, I thought about becoming a nun for a while. You know how it is when you’re growing up and you’re going to be a lot of different things, but I actually wanted to be an actress before I wanted to be a nun. The nun was more of a sidebar thing.’
Hathaway later broke from the church after her older brother came out.
‘The whole family converted to Episcopalianism after my elder brother came out. Why should I support an organization that has a limited view of my beloved brother?”
Elsewhere in her Vogue interview, the beauty also reflected on her iconic role in the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada, where she played Andy Sachs, a young assistant to Miranda Priestly (played by Meryl Streep) a demanding editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine.
‘Today, The Devil Wears Prada embodies something even bigger than when it was first released. I never imagined I’d one day play a role that would become a classic!’
‘I think that before The Devil Wears Prada, I didn’t understand that fashion was like a family. Thanks to the role of Andy Sachs, I got to meet them, get to know them – and therefore love them,’ she added.

Speaking on the What Was It Like podcast with host Julian Morgans recently, Emanuel claimed working with The Princess Diaries star was ‘one of the worst experiences’.
