Anne Hathaway stuns in a slew of racy outfits and tells how proud she is to continue acting at her age in sexy shoot for PORTER magazine: ‘I was told my career would fall off a cliff’

Anne Hathaway has told how she feared her career would come to the end by the age of 35, as she posed for the cover of PORTER Magazine.

The actress, 41, disclosed that she was told her ‘career would fall off a cliff’ as she reached a certain age, whilst also ‘being a woman’.

In a slew of sexy shoots, Anne modelled a series of outfits alongside the interview for the publications final cover star of 2023.

Opening up on why she takes nothing for granted, Anne said: ‘When I started out [in this industry] as a child, I was warned that my career would fall off a cliff at the age of 35, which is something I know a lot of women face.

‘The thing that has evolved during [that time] is that more women are having careers deeper into their lives, which I think is fantastic.

‘Obviously, it doesn’t mean we should have a ticker tape parade – someone said this to me the other day “There’s so much to be proud of and there’s so much to fix”.’

In one photo, Anne slipped into a lacy bralette and flashed her slender physique in a classy black suit.

The Devil Wears Prada actress then changed into a leather Balenciaga coat, Bottega Veneta denim jeans, with a racy Gucci bra.

With her trademark smile, Anne ensured to stun on the cover of the magazine.

She later posed in a Tom Ford mini dress for a black and white photoshoot.

Meanwhile, another shoot saw Anne slip into a gorgeous denim jacket, pinched with a pair of pliers for effect.

And lastly Anne cut a racy display in a black leather corset top and posed a sultry look for the camera.

Elsewhere in the interview, Anne revealed that she always aims to aim higher, disclosing: ‘I’ve always been really upfront about being an ambitious person.

‘I have goals, I have dreams; they don’t look much different than they did when I was [younger], but I’m still pursuing them.’

About her personality, Anne added: ‘Being funny feels riskier than being sincere, because I think my sense of humour is different to what people think my sense of humour is going to be; I think it’s easily misunderstood, and sharper.

‘Part of the reason I feel an extra pressure to make sure I’m very clear about what I say, and how I say it, is because I trust the sincerity.’

Anne will likely forever by synonymous with the fashion world after playing a magazine assistant in the classic film The Devil Wears Prada.

Last month, Anne said she would ‘love’ to do another project with Meryl Streep, her co-star in the hit film.

‘Oh my gosh, I would love that,’ she told Entertainment Tonight. ‘I wish. I wish. I wish. She’s very busy.’

The smash hit comedy was adapted from a novel by Lauren Weisberger, who previously worked as an assistant for Anna Wintour at Vogue.

With Meryl as a formidably icy fashion editor and Anne as her mousy gofer, the movie’s unstated inspiration was obvious to one and all.

‘Nuclear Wintour’ deftly assimilated the publicity from the movie into her own media image, to the point she even attended the premiere wearing Prada.

Years later, she told CNN that her ex-assistant ‘brought attention to fashion in a way that, you know, you can look at it in a negative way or in a positive way.

‘I choose to look at it in a positive way. In some ways, I think I should be grateful to her.’
