Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese recently revealed a note she received from rapper Megan Thee Stallion, legally known as Megan Pete. It’s unknown what the special gift from Pete was, but details on the note revealed a true bond between the two.
“Thank you so much for your support and for making this an unforgettable Hot Girl Summer!” said Pete’s letter via Reese’s Instagram story.
Reese sent a sincere response to Pete, along with adding the tearing-up and blushing emoji.
“Thank you to my hottie sister!” replied Reese.
The first-year star out of LSU came into the WNBA with an established name in the public eye, but she’s since seen her stardom skyrocket. Reese has over 540,000 followers on X and over 3.5 million on Instagram.

Reese hasn’t just made herself a star off the court. She’s been arguably the best rookie in the WNBA, recently breaking the league’s double-double record. Reese passed Candace Parker for the most consecutive double-doubles in a season. Chicago’s star has 11 consecutive double-doubles and counting, while Parker had nine in 2015 with the Los Angeles Sparks.
The rookie currently averaged 13.2 points, with a league-leading 11.8 rebounds.
During an interview early this season, Reese mentioned that Megan Thee Stallion was one of her favorite artists, so it’s great to see the two sharing a bond.
