6 Wild Predictions For Emily In Paris Season 4 Part 2

Emily in Paris season 4, part 2 will pick up where the 5-episode part 1 left off, which is prompting fans to think up some wild theories about what might unfold. In the first half of its fourth outing, Emily in Paris‘ cast of characters return for more relationship drama — though this time around Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) isn’t the root cause of all the ridiculous things that befall her friends, lovers, and colleagues. Instead, that crown of chaos goes to Camille (Camille Razat), who began her series of questionable choices in Emily in Paris season 3’s ending.

After breaking things off with Sofia (Melia Kreiling), jilting Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) at the altar, revealing to all that she and Gabriel are pregnant, and prompting Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) to end things with Emily, Camille takes off. In Emily in Paris season 4, part 1, Emily brings Camille back to the titular city, which leads to some weird dynamics and boundary-crossing where Gabriel and Camille’s co-parenting plans are concerned. Ultimately, Emily in Paris season 4, part 1’s ending puts everyone in the lurch again when Camille realizes she isn’t actually pregnant, but foregoes sharing that crucial information.

6. Mindy Chooses Her Eurovision Dreams Over Nicolas

Benoît & Mindy Still Have Tons Of Chemistry

Benoît (Kevin Dias) and Mindy (Ashley Park) connect lovingly during their performance on stage in Emily in Paris Season 4

At the very beginning of Emily in Paris season 4, part 1, Mindy Chen (Ashley Park) and her bandmates, Benoît (Kevin Dias) and Étienne (Jin Xuan Mao), attend a meeting to learn more about what representing France in the Eurovision Song Contest really means. Sadly, it involves being very well-financed, which prompts Étienne to ask Mindy about the prospect of Nicolas (Paul Forman), her wealthy boyfriend and JVMA higher-up, funding their Eurovision dreams. Mindy balks at the idea because she doesn’t want to rely on Nicolas that way — but it also says something about the couple’s relationship.

When Mindy and Nicolas attend Roland-Garros, he gifts her a couture look from JVMA’s closet. However, the gesture was meant to appease Nicolas’ father, Louis, who doesn’t approve of Mindy’s style, which prompts her to sell the couture outfit for Eurovision funds. Nicolas is mostly supportive of this decision, but he definitely falters as season 4 progresses. After Sylvie helps a reporter publish an exposé about Louis, Nicolas can’t seem to distance himself from his father, who’s a serial abuser and assaulter of women. Eventually, Nicolas does the right thing, but it’s born out of convenience more than anything.

At this point, there’s no denying that Mindy is the best part of Emily in Paris, and she deserves someone who is more supportive and aligned with her world view. Not to mention, she needs someone who appreciates her wildest Emily in Paris outfits. The slowly mounting friction between Mindy and Nicolas isn’t the only reason the two should call it quits. While Mindy and her band are performing, Luc points out the chemistry between Mindy and Benoît is something that just can’t be faked. That said, Mindy’s love life might undergo a much-needed shake up in part 2.

5. Gabriel Gets A Michelin Star (Without Emily’s Help)

Marianne’s Advice Secures The Chef’s Success Anyway

Lily Collins as Emily talks as Lucas Bravo as Gabriel cooks in Emily in Paris season 3-1

Although Emily failed to get Gabriel on the insider track to receiving a Michelin star, Luc’s girlfriend, Marianne, still gave the chef solid advice about how to improve his restaurant. In season 3, Emily enlists Marianne, a so-called Michelin inspector who goes to restaurants that have been awarded stars and ensures that the quality is still up to snuff, to check out Gabriel’s up-and-coming restaurant. During season 4’s masquerade ball, Marianne even slyly suggests that Gabriel find a better pastry chef to push his business close to Michelin star glory.

However, all of Gabriel’s efforts and investments are meaningless when it’s suddenly revealed that Marianne had been lying about her profession. In fact, she was fired for “insider dining” quite some time ago. A disheartened Emily breaks the news to Gabriel, but, instead of lamenting the news, the chef pops champagne and celebrates. No longer striving for the Michelin star, Gabriel feels like a weight has been lifted. Still, an actual Michelin-affiliated diner could’ve stopped by, which means Gabriel could truly earn a star in Emily in Paris season 4, part 2.

4. Camille Hides The Truth By Actually Getting Pregnant

The Heartbroken Camille Could Accidentally Get Pregnant For Real In Season 4, Part 2

Gabriel hugs Emily and Camille, who is upset about not having a baby in Emily in Paris season 4, part 1

One of the more wild fan theories about Emily in Paris season 4, part 2 revolves around Camille’s pregnancy. Some viewers think that Camille might end up getting pregnant for real in the season’s second half — perhaps unintentionally. Throughout season 4, both Camille and Gabriel are excited about the idea of becoming co-parents. Gabriel lets Camille (and Sofia) live in his apartment, while Camille obsesses over buying things for the child’s future nursery. The reveal that her pregnancy test was a false positive completely crushes Camille. In fact, she can’t even imagine telling Gabriel and dashing his hopes.

In the end, Camille makes a rather dubious decision. After showing up at Gabriel’s restaurant, she learns about the Michelin scheme. Although Gabriel is relieved to be free of all the pressure, he masks whatever sadness he has with champagne and celebrates Camille and their future child. Camille has the perfect opening, but chooses to keep the false positive reveal to herself. In true soap opera fashion, Camille’s pregnancy storyline could continue to be a roller coaster. Perhaps she hooks up with someone new — or, in a moment of closure, Gabriel — and gets pregnant for real.

3. Camille & Alfie Get Together In Emily In Paris Season 4, Part 2

Nothing Brings People Together Like Two Devastating Breakups

Camille (Camille Razat) tells Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) that Emily is still interested in him in Emily in Paris Season 4

Camille and Alfie have a brief run-in during season 4’s first half, but they’re kind of an unexplored duo thus far. The first episode of Emily in Paris forces Alfie and Emily to work together — and even share an on-screen kiss at Roland-Garros — which leads to Alfie reconsidering their relationship. After Alfie sees Emily moving forward with Gabriel during episode 3’s masquerade ball, the show leaves viewers wondering what happened to Alfie in Emily in Paris season 4’s last few episodes. Alfie never reappears, ending his and Emily’s relationship on a strange note.

It would be wild if Camille and Alfie hooked up… but it’s not completely off the table.

Meanwhile, Camille and Sofia break up when the latter realizes she never wanted to move to Paris — or get involved with co-parenting. Camille watches from the window as Emily and Gabriel fall deeper in love, underscoring her sense of loneliness. All of this to say, nothing brings two heartbroken people together like the emotional vortex that is Emily Cooper. It would be wild if Camille and Alfie hooked up (or, wilder yet, pursued a relationship), but it’s not completely off the table, especially since Alfie will likely be back in season 4, part 2 (via RadioTimes).

2. Heloise’s One Condition Is That Laurent Leaves Sylvie

Sylvie’s Husband & Mother Don’t See Eye-To-Eye

Liliane Rovère as Heloise and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie chat over lunch in Emily in Paris

Emily in Paris establishes that Sylvie and Laurent G married each other when they were young. For a while, the marriage didn’t serve either party, especially as their professional endeavors landed them in different locations. While Sylvie and Laurent are back together in season 4, it might not last. After Sylvie’s damning statement about Louis’ wrongdoings is released, Louis de Léon pulls JVMA’s funding from Laurent’s club. Laurent remains proud of Sylvie for coming forward about Louis’ behavior, but Sylvie stresses over how to help her husband. Pressed for ideas, Sylvie calls her mom for help.

Played by Liliane Rovère, Sylvie’s mom, Heloise, was known as the Queen of the Night during the ’70s thanks to her nightclub. Luckily, she still owns the space, so Sylvie tries to strike a deal with her mother that will salvage Laurent’s dreams of opening a club in Paris. Heloise points out that if Laurent opens a club in the city, he’ll have to say. Without a Parisian business venture, Laurent might leave again. Heloise agrees to help, but under unspecified conditions, prompting fans to wonder if she’ll support Laurent’s business in exchange for him leaving Sylvie for good.

1. Emily Breaks Up With Gabriel

The Show’s Protagonist Will Put Herself First When The Drama Ramps Up

Emily shows rare flashes of self-awareness during Emily in Paris season 4, part 1, and that trend could continue. There’s no getting around the fact that Emily and Gabriel’s relationship has been messy. While the show’s five episodes offer a solid amount of Emily/Gabriel fan service for those who want it, Emily in Paris also has its titular character advocate for herself. Eventually, Emily tells Gabriel that she wants to respect his co-parenting decision while also setting firm boundaries for herself. Child on the way or not, Emily might remove herself from the drama for good.

Emily in Paris season 4, part 2 premieres on Netflix on September 12, 2024.
