Emily’s birthday dinner was greatly affected by her choice to sleep with Gabriel in Emily in Paris season 1’s finale after he got his own restaurant thanks to Antoine’s investment. Although her birthday included wholesome moments like Sylvie and Luc attending and bringing her thoughtful gifts, and even Mindy’s help in preparing the perfect setting, Emily’s birthday ended in drama after Camille discovered by chance that Gabriel had gifted his favorite omelet pan to Emily.

Gabriel’s decision to stay in Paris did not straight away lead to him and Camille getting back together, with her unsure about the reasons behind that, especially given how they had never stayed apart for too long. Finding Gabriel’s favorite omelet pan among Emily’s things was the only proof she needed to realize how Emily had betrayed her, leading to one of Emily in Paris’s most chaotic endings with Camille accusing Emily and Gabriel in front of everyone else after having taken the floor with the excuse of wanting to toast to Emily.

Emily Chooses Gabriel & Sylvie Comes Clean About Louis De Leon

Camille’s choice to come clean about everything in Emily in Paris season 3’s ending let her and Gabriel’s relationship conclude, eventually leaving Emily and Gabriel free to explore their feelings for each other. When they didn’t do so straight away, Alfie felt emboldened, believing he might have misjudged Emily when he accused her of treating him like her second choice. However, Alfie’s fears were eventually proved right after Emily made her choice at the masquerade ball, going home with Gabriel.

Emily in Paris season 4, episode 3, “Masquerade” finally ended Gabriel and Emily’s Will They/Won’t They dynamic by letting them freely be together, delivering something that had been building up since Emily in Paris’s series premiere. However, the episode was also incredibly important for Sylvie’s choice to go on the record about Louis de Leon’s history of sexually harassing his female employees, changing the way everyone saw her and also helping bring him to justice, while simultaneously causing many problems for JVMA.

3. Season 3, Episode 8, “Fashion Victim”

Agence Grateau Makes An Enemy Out Of JVMA & Sets Up Nico & Emily’s Problems

JVMA had been a problem for Agence Grateau ever since Emily did everything to work with them after meeting with Nico through Mindy in Emily in Paris season 3. Nico’s approach didn’t treat Pierre Cadault with respect, prompting Emily and Sylvie to go behind JVMA’s backs in Emily in Paris season 3, episode 8, “Fashion Victim” and cause them an image problem by letting everybody believe he had died as JMVA announced Grégory Duprée taking over Cadault’s brand.

Sylvie and Emily’s plan was akin to a war declaration, especially considering JVMA’s importance among luxury brands. The flawless execution of their plan made for an exciting episode, which also had major consequences on Emily’s private life, as Nico drove a wedge between Emily and Mindy to punish Emily for her involvement in Sylvie’s plan. Nico’s slyness would have succeeded in putting some distance between the two friends had Alfie not come to Emily’s help to tell Mindy the truth in Emily in Paris season 3’s second half.

2. Season 2, Episode 10, “French Revolution”

Maddie Taking Over Savoir Leaves Emily With Some Difficult Decisions To Make

Maddie’s arrival in Paris in Emily in Paris season 2’s last two episodes shook up the flimsy balance Emily had finally obtained at Savoir, with her aggressive ideas being even weakly opposed by Emily. Maddie’s approach irked everyone at Savoir, risking even Maison Lavaux as a client after Maddie’s talk about business at a party. However, Emily in Paris season 2, episode 10 made for an exciting finale because of the position it put Emily in at the end of it.

Emily’s loyalty to the Gilbert Group was greatly put to the test when she had to choose between staying with them and Maddie or going on with Agence Grateau, proving once and for all how Emily’s happy ending in Emily in Paris had always to do with work. Emily in Paris season 2’s finale left all the doors open for Emily putting her in front of a choice she never thought she could have, delivering great drama and a massive cliffhanger ending.
