The series follows with him discovering more twists as he dives deeper into his investigations, uncovering hidden foes. A blast from the past brings back an old enemy Hector Moya (played by Arturo Del Puerto), the drug trafficker whom he helped get arrested.
In an interview with Variety, the showrunners Dailyn Rodriguez and Ted Humphrey sat down to speak about the new season. This is when Rodriguez confessed something about Mickey’s potential romantic future which could complicate matters in future episodes.

Never say never, right? The most significant relationship in his life will always be Maggie. He will never 100% get over that relationship.
On being asked about his possible reconciliation with Andrea, played by Yaya DaCosta the showrunner did not give a direct answer. His statement hinted at the possibility of a future for the rivals-turned-lovers-turned-allies, but Maggie’s (portrayed by Neve Campbell) influence might never let him completely move on.

Relationships have always been somewhat messy in both the real and reel life, particularly TV shows. This is something Humphrey agreed with, as he added his two cents to the subject at hand.
On a purely blunt storytelling level, stability in relationships doesn’t make for good drama.
The season finale ended with a bang, with almost everyone being under the radar and accusing each other. Fans are excited for future seasons to build up on the narrative, exploring the characters at a deeper level.

Michael hints that he’s potentially working on another Lincoln Lawyer book beyond the ones that have already been published. We don’t know that for sure. If the audience keeps enjoying what we’re doing, then we will keep making the show.
