Prince Harry received his last ever present from his mother Princess Diana just weeks after her tragic death.

The Duke of Sussex, who was 12 at the time Diana died in a Paris car crash in August 1997, celebrated his 13th birthday just weeks later at his boarding school Ludgrove.

Although Diana was no longer around, the princess had already brought a present for her son as he was set to become a teenager.

In his tell-all memoir Spare, Harry recalled that the present was an Xbox and was handed to him by Princess Diana’s sister Sarah McCorquodale.

He wrote in his memoir: “It was an Xbox. I was happy; I loved video games.”

However, since the release of his memoir, some confusion was raised as the Xbox did not come out until four years later.

Nevertheless, the present would have been the last received by Prince Harry from his mother.

The prince, who is now set to turn 40 tomorrow, is likely to reminisce on his childhood as he celebrates the new milestone.

No members of the Royal Family are set to fly out and join him in his Montecito mansion where his wife Meghan Markle, 43, is set to host a big birthday bash with his nearest and dearest in America.

The prince will then jet off for a quick break with his friends before flying to New York City where he will carry out various solo engagements.

His wife will stay at home with the couple’s children Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3.

Prince William is not expected to call Harry on his big day, however the prince will hear from his father King Charles privately.
