During an episode of ‘Million Dollaz Worth of Game,’ the rapper discussed how he didn’t know whether the meeting between him and Eminem was real or staged
During an episode of Million Dollaz Worth of Game on Wednesday, Sept. 2, the “In da Club” artist (whose real name is Curtis Jackson III), 49, discussed how he didn’t know whether the meeting between him and Eminem (whose real name is Marshall Mathers) was real or staged.
“It was wild. Remember that show they had, Punk’d? I thought they had cameras and they was gonna come out and say, ‘You’ve been punk’d,'” 50 Cent told co-hosts Wallo and Gillie Da Kid.
The G-Unit rapper added: “He flew me to LA, I came out. I was so bugged out from the experience that I came through the airport with the [bulletproof] vest and s— on … I get there and he’s like, ‘Yo,’ he hugs me.”
50 Cent was so excited he was in disbelief.
“It felt so good that it couldn’t be right,” he said.
In a cover story interview with The Hollywood Reporter in July, 50 Cent discussed his relationship with Slim Shady and how Eminem wouldn’t perform at the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show without him.
“They didn’t want me there,” he said of the 2022 event. “Eminem wouldn’t do it without me. That’s how I ended up on the show because he was not coming if I didn’t do it.”
50 Cent added, “When that happens, you go, ‘Damn, so you just lost Eminem because you didn’t bring 50? Damn. All right. Bring 50 then.’ But if it was up to them, they would not have me there.”
The Power star said he was “the surprise.”
“I’m not on the bill at all,” 50 Cent said. “But they couldn’t get Em to do it without me.”
In the interview, the “Stan” performer, 51, said that the “Window Shopper” musician “is like a brother to me.”
“50 has proven again and again that there’s really nothing he can’t do, and nobody gets in the way of him getting it done,” Eminem said.
