Mumbai: Nita Ambani is an Indian philanthropist, businesswoman, and the chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Reliance Industries. The Ambani family is considered one of the richest and most influential families in the world. Led by Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, the family has built a legacy of immense wealth and power in business, philanthropy, and social impact. Speaking of their family, the couple is blessed with three children (two sons and a daughter): Isha Ambani, Anant Ambani, and Akash Ambani.

According to the media reports, billionaire Nita Ambani embraces a daily ritual that balances simplicity and luxury: enjoying her morning tea in an exquisite teacup crafted by Noritek, Japan’s oldest porcelain manufacturer. Each teacup, featuring intricate gold detailing, is reportedly priced at over Rs 3 lakh, adding to a stunning tea set that boasts a total value exceeding Rs 1,50,00,000 crore.

Nita Ambani resides in one of the most expensive homes in the world, Antilia. With an estimated net worth between $2.8 billion and $3 billion, Nita’s wealth is primarily linked to her substantial stake in Reliance Industries Ltd., where her husband, Mukesh Ambani, holds about 50% ownership. Yet, when it came to purchasing kitchenware for her luxurious home, Nita opted to fly to Sri Lanka to save money.

It is reported that Nita Ambani once boarded her private jet and flew to Sri Lanka, where she is said to have purchased 25,000 pieces of kitchenware from Noritek. Nita Ambani’s impeccable taste is evident in her shopping list, which reportedly includes 25,000 pieces of chinaware for her luxurious high-rise home. She has chosen the renowned 106-year-old Japanese brand Noritek, celebrated worldwide for its porcelain crockery trimmed with 22-carat gold or platinum.

As per The Economic Times report (2010), this substantial order wasn’t placed at the exclusive Noritek showroom in Mumbai’s Kemps Corner, located just a short distance from the Ambani residence. Instead, Nita Ambani chose to make the purchase in Sri Lanka, where Noritek products are 70-80% more affordable than in other parts of the world, including India. This cost advantage is due to the Japanese brand’s largest manufacturing facility being based in Sri Lanka, which also serves as an export hub for its fine china to over 100 countries.
