Ian Harding and Lindsay Lohan may have a complicated decades-long love story in ‘Our Little Secret,’ but in real life, they are both married

Our Little Secret is full of complicated relationships and secret love affairs — but in real life, much of the cast have their own romances.

The Netflix holiday rom-com tells the story of exes Avery (Lindsay Lohan) and Logan (Ian Harding), who unexpectedly reunite for the holidays when they discover their current significant others are siblings. The former couple must navigate keeping their past romance a secret while also working to help Avery win over her partner’s hard-to-please mother, Erica (Kristin Chenoweth).

In an interview with Tudum in November 2024, Lohan described her character as “a girl soul-searching on a journey of love.” But off-screen, the actress has already found her match with her husband, Bader Shammas, whom she married in April 2022.

Meanwhile, Harding wed his wife, Sophie Hart, in October 2019, and Chenoweth married her husband, Josh Bryant, in September 2023.

Lindsay Lohan might be accused of running from love as Avery in Our Little Secret, but in real life, she’s happily married to her husband, Bader Shammas.

The couple have been romantically linked since February 2020. In a June 2023 interview with Allure, Lohan recalled the start of their relationship, saying they had met at a restaurant in Dubai.

“I said, ‘You look like someone I know.’ He was like, ‘No, I don’t, who?’ ” the Freaky Friday actress said, adding that they spoke for a couple hours that night. “And then I said to him, ‘I feel like you’re the person I’m going to be with forever.’ I’d never been able to talk to someone like this.”

In November 2021, she announced on Instagram that they were engaged (he proposed in Utah while she was filming Falling for Christmas, per Allure).

The duo tied the knot in a private ceremony in April 2022, with their nuptials remaining quiet until July of that year when Lohan shared on Instagram that she was “stunned” he was her “husband.”

“I am the luckiest woman in the world. You found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time,” the Mean Girls alum wrote.

They welcomed their son, Luai, in July 2023.

Ian Harding, who stars as Logan, has been romantically linked to his wife, Sophie Hart, for over a decade.

The Pretty Little Liars alum has been with the photographer since 2011, but the duo kept their relationship quiet for years — until Hart posted an Instagram tribute for his birthday in 2014.

Harding and Hart secretly tied the knot in October 2019, keeping their wedding under wraps for two years. In 2021, Harding began sharing subtle hints on Instagram, posting photos that featured his wedding band, though they have yet to reveal pictures from their engagement or wedding day.

In September 2022, Harding announced on Instagram that the couple had welcomed their first child. Although they have chosen to keep their son’s name private, Harding has shared heartfelt tributes to his family on social media.

“Happy Father’s Day. And to this sweet boy: you are everything,” he wrote on Instagram in June 2024. “(Photo credit to @sophiiieeehart who I would be lost without.).”

Kristin Chenoweth, who portrays Erica Morgan, met Nashville-based musician Josh Bryant at a wedding in 2016, then again two years later at another — and had one of their own seven years after their first encounter.

The couple began dating in August 2018 before Bryant proposed to Chenoweth in October 2021 on the rooftop of the Rainbow Room in New York City.

“I’ve been the runaway bride,” the Broadway star joked to PEOPLE. “Now that I’ve found him, I won’t let him go. I will race to greet him at the altar.”

They tied the knot on Sept. 2, 2023, at a private residence in Dallas, where Chenoweth told PEOPLE that she and Bryant exchanged “a form of traditional vows.”

“I have been a self-proclaimed bachelorette my whole life,” the Wicked star said. “I was never going to get married. I even got engaged before and couldn’t do it. Until I met Josh. Then I was like, ‘Why would I ever let this guy go?’ I’m so blessed.”

Jon Rudnitsky, who plays Avery’s boyfriend, Cameron Morgan, may be single in real life, but on screen, he’s no stranger to being a groom.

The actor and comedian joked on Instagram in November 2021 that he “got married twice this week” in his roles as Mike Devries in Fox’s The Big Leap and Gerald Polonsky Jr. in truTV’s Tacoma FD.

Katie Baker, who stars as Logan’s girlfriend (and Cameron’s sister) Cassie Morgan, has been with her boyfriend Rob Smith since at least October 2015.

They both graduated from the University of Southern California in 2016. Although her beau doesn’t appear to be a fellow actor himself, the actress has called Smith her “biggest cheerleader.”

In November 2023, Smith supported Baker during the SAG-AFTRA strike, and one year later, he joined her at the premiere of Our Little Secret.

Dan Bucatinsky plays Leonard Morgan, Erica’s husband and Cassie and Cameron’s father — roles he also holds in real life.

In 2008, the Scandal alum married screenwriter Don Roos, whom he met in 1992 when Roos invited him to be his date at the premiere of his first film, Love Fields.

“I remember feeling a wave of excitement at the opportunity to be Don’s ‘plus one,’ ” Bucatinsky told Deadline in September 2014.

Together, they share two kids: a son, Jonah, and a daughter, Eliza.

Bucatinsky’s family has been an important part of his career, and he gave them a shout-out while accepting his 2013 Emmy Award for outstanding guest actor in a drama series (for his role as James Novak in Scandal), saying that he “owe[s]” and “share[s]” the award with both his on-screen husband, played by Jeff Perry, and Roos.

“I love you so much,” he said in his acceptance speech. “And to my kids at home, Eliza and Jonah, how many guys get to say their on-screen husband and real-life husband? Thank you to the Supreme Court of the United States.”
