Mark Zuckerberg 40 ‘breaks down’ with ‘awkward’ rap remix in latest tribute to wife Priscilla Chan

Rap fans have excoriated Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, after he released a cringe-inducing cover of a beloved hip-hip melody.

The 40-year old tech leader shared an acoustic version of Lil Jon’s Get Low, in collaboration with legendary rapper T-Pain, to Instagram to celebrate his and his wife Priscilla Chan’s ‘dating anniversary.’

He revealed that the song had been playing when they first met at a party as Harvard freshers, adding that they listen to it every year on their dating anniversary.

The Zuckerberg and T-Pain, or ‘Z-Pain’, cover, features an acoustic version of a heavily auto-tuned Zuckerberg singing the NSFW lyrics.

At one point Mark gently sings the lyrics: ‘From the windows to the walls, till sweat drops down my b***s, till all these b***hes crawl,’ and ‘can I play with your panty line, club owner said I need to calm down, security guard is sweating me now, I got drunk and a motherf***er threatened me now.’

Despite the romantic overtone of the gesture, rap fans came out in their droves to share their contempt for the song.

One wrote ‘Mark Zuckerberg has recorded his own fully explicit version of “Get Low.” Worst cringe of the year award.’

‘Mark Zuckerberg is here writing cringe songs and you can’t even get a text back,’ someone else added.

‘Mark Zuckerberg collaborating with t-pain to make a new version of get low is the LAST thing I expected to hear today.’

In his Instagram post Zuckerberg also shared a throwback photo of him cuddling up to his wife of 12 years.

Mark, who recently threw a disco-themed party for his wife, captioned the post: ‘”Get Low” was playing when I first met Priscilla at a college party, so every year we listen to it on our dating anniversary.

‘This year I worked with @tpain on our own version of this lyrical masterpiece. Sound on for the track and also available on Spotify. Love you P,’ he added followed by a red heart emoji.

Priscilla, who met fellow Harvard student Mark at a frat party during his sophomore year in 2003, was quick to comment on the post and said: ‘Can’t get quite as low anymore but more in love and grateful for that love than ever. Love you MZ.’

T-Pain commented:’ Happy anniversary! Thanks for letting me be a part of this.’

Mark even recorded the moment that he played the song to Priscilla for the first time as she sat cross-legged on a sofa dressed in a pair of black sweatpants and denim jacket.

‘Happy date-versary, I made you something, do you wanna check it out?’ Mark asked her as she listened to the track on her cell phone.

In the next clip, Priscilla was seen laughing as she listened to her husband sing before he told her: ‘I love you,’ and then said: ‘Is that the most romantic thing I’ve ever done or what?’

Priscilla replied: ‘It’s so romantic, 21 years later I can’t get quite as low, but it brings back a lot of fond memories!’ as they both laughed.

She also posted the throwback photo of them on her own Instagram Stories and wrote alongside it: ‘2003: Two kids fall in love,’ alongside a red heart emoji.

The happy couple share three daughters: Maxima, eight, August, seven, and one-year-old Aurelia, who was born in March 2023.

Having turned 40 in May, the once hyper-nerdy Facebook founder has been sporting more flashy looks lately.

In June he was pictured living it up in Ibiza in $1,000 Balmain t-shirt.

Zuckerberg, once known for his gaunt, pale, sandal-wearing exterior, has been reinventing himself after his AI hottie version received an overwhelming positive reaction, with internet users calling him a ‘snack’ and ‘Mr. steal your girl.’

At a recent Meta Connect event, he wore fashion-forward Adidas 4DFWD x Strung trainers and an oversized, self-designed T-shirt printed with the Latin phrase ‘Aut Zuck, aut nihil’ (Either Zuck, or nothing).

And his hair, once a Spartacus-like crop with a drawn-on fringe, was grown out to a hipster boy-fro. He’s also been seen in a shearling coat, apparently channelling the current cowboy chic.
