Manny Pacquiao doesn’t hesitate to reveal whether Mike Tyson’s legacy is ruined by losing to Jake Paul, despite Tyson claiming he nearly d*ed

Manny Pacquiao Didn’t Hesitate When Asked If Mike Tyson Ruined His Legacy By Losing To Jake Paul

Mike Tyson‘s controversial fight with Jake Paul took place in November.

They met at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on the first ever boxing event that was broadcast live on streaming service Netflix.

It saw ‘Iron Mike’ returning to a professional boxing ring for the first time in nearly 20 years, having not competed since way back in 2005.

The former world heavyweight champion is now 58-years-old, and struggled to cope with 27-year-old Paul in the bout, as ‘The Problem Child’ claimed a dominant unanimous decision win after eight two-minute rounds.

The fight split opinion within the boxing world, with a lot of figures unhappy it was taking place and concerned for how it may affect Tyson, especially after he revealed that he nearly died in the summer when the contest was originally set to take place in July.

Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao has now shared his thoughts on the matter, telling Seconds Out whether or not he feels it impacted on Tyson’s legacy.

“It’s good for Mike for surviving 8 rounds. He’s 58 years old so we have to understand. He’s almost 60, so It’s good. His legacy we will never forget that. Mike Tyson is Mike Tyson.

“He’s one of my favourite fighters. The reason I became a fighter was because of Mike Tyson. That was back in 1990.”

‘Iron Mike’ has now confirmed that he will retire for good following the fight, and his son has revealed just how he has been coping with the loss in the weeks since the battle.
