Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight purses 'leaked' with both fighters set for massive pay-day

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson do battle live on Netflix on Friday and both will pocket huge money.

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson’s fight purses have reportedly been leaked ahead of their huge bout on Friday 15 November.

Paul and Tyson will step into the ring in a professional fight at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, with the encounter being shown live on Netflix to millions of viewers.

Having been postponed earlier this year due to Tyson suffering an ulcer flare-up back in May, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations have sanctioned the bout – which will see the pair contest eight, two-minute rounds, with 14 ounce gloves.

The age difference between the two fights is a massive 31 years – the largest in boxing history. Tyson jumped back in the ring in 2020 to face Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition match, but this will be his first official fight since his defeat to Kevin McBride.

Tyson has made a whole lot of money from his glittering career inside the squared circle and he is set for another tidy payday at the age of 58.

According to two-weight UFC champion Henry Cejudo, a close friend of Tyson’s, ‘Iron’ Mike is poised to make around $20 million (£15.4 million).

“I mean, you know what I respect, Uncle Mike… but it obviously takes two to tango,” Cejudo said back in March ahead of the scheduled July fight.

“I feel like there is probably a really good payday for Mike. He’s probably going to wind up making close to about $20 million and he’s about to turn 58 years old.”

As for Paul, whose only professional defeat came against Tommy Fury in February 2023, he estimates he will be making $40 million (£31.1 million).

Speaking in a press conference in August, Paul claimed: “I’m here to make 40 million dollars and knock out a legend. I don’t give a f**k about anything else.”

In a Netflix documentary released hyping up the fight, Tyson revealed that he thought he was “going to”die” after his health scare on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles and ended up losing 26 pounds.

As a result of the comments, the Texas commission will be investigating Tyson and conducting “thorough” checks with physicians, as per TLDR Communications Manager Tela Goodwin Mange.
