Jake Paul continues to shock the boxing community as world champion calls for fight

Jake Paul continues to rattle the boxing community as world champion calls for a fight.

Jake Paul is the center of attention in the boxing world at present and is beginning to make some powerful enemies.

‘The Problem Child’s reign of terror in the ring is in full force, and his latest win was arguably his most controversial. Not only was the performance lackluster, but he also beat one of the most beloved boxers in the history of the sport; Mike Tyson.

During his rise, Jake Paul has been called out by several high-level competitors, and today is no different. After originally calling Paul out last month, Artur Beterbiev has once again turned his attention to the YouTuber.

“In boxing, for all time I have favorite boxers like Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson,” Beterbiev said. “Jake Paul beat Mike Tyson.”

“[Tyson is] one of my favorite boxers and it’s my first reaction. Like, I want to pay him back, you know. That’s right, but after a couple [of] days, it’s good.”

While Beterbiev’s animosity toward Jake Paul has since lessened, the Russian still welcomes the fight.

“I don’t want to fight with him. If he wants [to fight me, then] yes. But I think he doesn’t like to fight me.”

“[If we did fight], I think I show him [how to] box. A little bit of boxing, real boxing, you know.”

The WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO light heavyweight champion then made his opinion on the 27-year-old brief.

“He has good skills, like boxing. But, he’s not that good I [don’t] think so.”

Jake Paul has also been linked to a fight with British powerhouse Daniel Dubois. Artur Beterbiev, like countless other fans, believes Dubois makes easy work of Paul if the two ever did step into the ring against one another.

‘Dynamite’ Dubois just landed the biggest win of his career when he knocked out Anthony Joshua in September—which proves he’s likely too big of a step up for the Ohio native.
