Dr. Dre brought up some of her Dad’s old lyrics during a recent conversation
Eminem’s daughter, Hailie Jade, reacted awkwardly when Dr. Dre brought up her dad’s old lyrics.
People are loving the reactions of not just Hailie, but Eminem too, when his friend and mentor Dr. Dre brought up his early album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’ while inducting him into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The album features classic tracks like ‘The Real Slim Shady’, ‘The Way I Am’ and of course, the song that got a new word added to the dictionary, ‘Stan’.
But there were several lyrics on the record that were perceived as incredibly problematic at the time of its release in 2000, let alone today.
There is one particularly controversial lyric about having sex with his own mother, which Dr. Dre referenced in his speech: “The Marshall Mathers LP drops, on that album alone, his alter ego Slim Shady tied me up in the basement.
“He had sex with his mother, killed his daughter’s mother again, while proceeding to offend just about every special interest group.”
Viewers loved Eminem’s reaction to the speech, with cameras catching it all.

Eminem had been applauding the speech, but stopped when Dr. Dre mentioned the lyrics, awkwardly staring off before snapping back into Slim Shady and shouting ‘twice’, with his daughter shaking her head.
Some thought that the rapper got shy because his daughter was behind him, but he soon snapped out of it.
One viewer commented: “Marshall went from Eminem to father to Slim Shady in a span of 3 seconds.”
Another put: “First Em was embarrassed, then Slim Shady appeared and said twice.”
A third said: “That twice was so proud.”
Many thought that the awkward father/daughter reactions were priceless, but I guess what can you expect when your father is Eminem?

Eminem’s mother was name-dropped several times in his early career, causing problems for him in the past.
Mum Debbie Mathers actually sued her son for defamation, claiming his lyrics were lying about his upbringing and that they were slanderous towards her.
In his breakout single ‘My Name Is’, one of the lyrics says ‘my mom smokes more dope than I do’, while a few years later, ‘Cleanin Out My Closet’, he raps about ‘witnessing your momma popping prescription pills in the kitchen’.
Lyrics in the song label her a ‘selfish b***h’ and he also says he hopes she will ‘burn in hell’, but he has seemingly mellowed out since then.
He no longer performs the song, and apologised for ‘Cleanin Out My Closet’ on 2013 track ‘Headlights’, explaining that he was angry and that he cringes ‘every time it’s on the radio’.
