Grimes and Elon Musk dated for around four years and have three children together
Apart from being beloved musicians, Olivia Rodrigo and Grimes have another thing in common: A mutual distaste towards a specific type of man.
In a recent Q&A video for Netflix, the ‘Driver’s License’ singer showed off a few of her favorite tank tops she wore while on her worldwide Guts tour this year, before stumbling upon a shirt that read ‘dump him’.
Apart from being a homage to Britney Spears, the shirt also prompted Rodrigo to answer what her ‘biggest red flag’ is when it comes to dating and her answer was quite specific.
“This is a very oddly specific question that I ask guys on first dates,” the singer began. “I always ask them if they think that they would want to go to space.”

“And if they say yes, I don’t date them,” she continued. “I just think if you wanna go to space, you’re a little too full of yourself. I think it’s just weird.”
Herein enters Grimes who knows a thing or two about dating guys who want to go to space.
“It’s true,” she wrote on Twitter underneath a clip of Rodrigo’s interview. “Only women should be going to space.”
Fans swiftly noted that Grimes’ response seemed to be taking a not-so-subtle dig at her ex, tech mogul and space aficionado, Elon Musk.

The former couple were reported to be dating in 2018 and welcomed three children together throughout their relationship. The SpaceX founder has also been proudly vocal on his hopes for space exploration and desire to go to Mars.
“I guess she’d know having personal experience with that type of man, ” one user wrote on Twitter in response to Grimes agreeing with Rodrigo.
“Neil Armstrong would have zero rizz in 2024,” another user hilariously added.
“The ancient texts foretold this: boys go to jupiter to get more stupider,” wrote someone else, where frankly, several points were made.
Who knew wanting to go to space would be the new dating ick?
