Gal Gadot’s Snow White Queen brings many new elements that leave Rachel Zegler trembling, saying “It’s really over”

Gal Gadot’s Evil Queen Faces Her Mirror In Ornate New Snow White Live-Action Image

This article is part of ScreenRant‘s Exclusive 2025 Movie Preview. Keep an eye out for the full feature next week!

ScreenRant has exclusively revealed a new image for Snow White. The movie is set for release in just three months on March 21, 2025. Snow White is one of Disney’s latest live-action adaptations, taking on the story of the classic 1937 Disney animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Also a musical, this version of Snow White stars West Side Story breakout actor Rachel Zegler in the lead role. In addition to Zegler, Snow White features a leading cast including Gal Gadot, Patrick Page, Andrew Burnap, Ansu Kabia, Colin Michael Carmichael, and Lorena Andrea.

Now, ScreenRant can exclusively reveal the latest image from Snow White. This image focuses on Gadot’s Evil Queen, the villain of the princess film. She wears a dark black outfit with a bejeweled neckline with alternating blue and green sequins. Geometric shapes on her cape match the tones of these embellishments, providing the color scheme of her costume. She also dons a crown and looks into an ostentatious mirror on the wall. How Snow White Will Differ From The Original

Snow White Changes Some Key Elements

This Snow White image recalls elements of the original Evil Queen from 1937. Her iconic magic mirror is featured that she looks in to determine “the fairest one of all.” The most recent design for the mirror is gothic and gawdy, adorned with detail but lacking a flashy ornateness. This is somewhat similar to the 1930s animated version of the mirror, but is actually more colorless in comparison.

When Snow White was originally going to include the “magical creatures,” the actors were seen in costume rather than the CGI figures that they now are. Overall, the Disney live-action remake will feature a blend of built set pieces and highly computer-assisted worlds, including CGI animals, forest elements, and more. This exclusive image appears to be on the practical end of Snow White‘s set pieces, featuring physically constructed elements, though the mirror will undoubtedly have to have a CGI element to create the face within it.
