Known for her role as Mel Monroe, the nurse who relocates to a small Northern California town following a personal tragedy, Alexandra has become a firm favourite among viewers.
Her character quickly falls into a passionate relationship with Jack Sheridan, the local bar owner and ex-Marine portrayed by Martin Henderson, amidst the backdrop of crime and drama in her new community.

She recently posted a hilarious video from a memorable scene at the Labor Day carnival in season five, where she’s seen laughing uncontrollably on a Ferris wheel, reports the Daily Record.
Captioning the video, she reminisced, “One Time. In Virgin River. I was on a Ferris wheel with Martin Henderson,” adding, “And he kept rocking it and it freaked me out and I yelled at him.”
Despite Martin’s playful antics, it seems their off-screen camaraderie remains strong, with the duo still showing a close friendship.
Since their on-screen romance kicked off in 2019, fans have been eagerly following the couple’s journey, eager to see what’s next for Jack and Mel.
While their love story may temporarily take a backseat as Mel rekindles ties with her distant father Everett Reid (John Allen Nelson), there’s also the tantalising hint of wedding bells in the future.
An episode intriguingly named The Big Day has sparked speculation among fans, many of whom are convinced it can only signify one event.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the new season, which is yet to have an official release date despite Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos confirming it would be out by the end of the year.
In the meantime, Alexandra has assured fans that “a lot of information” will start “seeping its way out” soon about Virgin River’s comeback.
“It was intense,” she revealed about the upcoming installment on Instagram. “Not necessarily the content so much, I think just the filming.
“We were on location a lot What does that mean? We don’t know.”
Virgin River is available to stream on Netflix.
