A post shared on social media purportedly shows Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced a new motorhome project.
Verdict: False
The company is working on a Robovan and Robotaxi, no announcement for a motorhome has been made.
Fact Check:
Former President Donald Trump held a rally in Madison Square Garden recently, USA Today reported. The rally saw several conservative speakers, including Elon Musk, and included a comedian and singers.
A post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, purports that Tesla has revealed a new electric motorhome. The post shared a YouTube video.
The caption reads, “Elon Musk Reveals Tesla 2025 Motorhome for UNDER $17,000.”
The claim is inaccurate. The post shares a video from a YouTube channel called Voyager. The video claims that Musk revealed a motorhome saying, “Known for revolutionizing the auto industry, Tesla is now venturing into the world of affordable, eco-friendly living — on wheels.”
At one point in the video Musk can be heard saying, “both the design of the products and manufacturing techniques are head and shoulders above anything else that is present in the industry.” This statement was made at an annual shareholders meeting, according to CBNC. The products announced in May were a “Robotaxi” and an electric car, the outlet reported.
The channel shares a description of their content and suggests fictionalized stories. It says, “We blend speculative storytelling with scientific concepts, creating a thrilling journey into the unknown.”
Tesla did post on X about future projects such as the Robovan and a Robotaxi, but did not announce a motorhome project. (RELATED: Viral Facebook Post Makes False Claim About Elon Musk, ABC, ‘Wokeness’)
