According to the 36-year-old Canadian singer, who shares three children with Musk, she believes she became “way less gay” after being pregnant.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) to discuss the topic with her followers on Tuesday, Oct. 22, Grimes wrote, “I became way less gay after I was pregnant, my ability to focus on reading and writing went way up, as did my general creativity, but my ability to focus on technical things went *way* down. Is this all explained by hormones?”
Someone in the comments asked Grimes to clarify what she meant by “less gay,” to which the “Genesis” singer replied, “Just less interested in dating girls.”
Many users in the comments chimed in to debate the topic, while others had questions about Musk’s involvement in the way Grimes has changed.
“No I think that’s just from being in a heterosexual relationship with a bigot,” one person suggested, referring to the controversial billionaire, who has publicly backed Republican nominee Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election.
The songwriter replied, “I feel like that shud make me more gay tho.”
Grimes, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, began dating the Tesla CEO in 2018. They went on to welcome three children together: sons X Æ A-Xii, also known as X, 4, and Techno “Tau” Mechanicus, 2, as well as a daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl, who turns 3 in December.
