Elon Musk has been spotted with his new girlfriend, Australian actress Natasha Bassett, enjoying a leisurely lunch in the billionaire’s haven of Saint Tropez.

The pair were spotted enjoying a meal at the Cheval Blanc hotel, where rooms cost upwards of $1300 (€1200) a night – a drop in the ocean for the world’s richest man.

Musk, 50, and Bassett, 27, sat down to enjoy a full view of the hotel’s pool, writes Dailymail.

They ate fries and chatted while waiters served nearby. The pair then strolled hand-in-hand out of the expensive restaurant, passing other sun-seekers on the beach.

Bassett, Musk’s newest girlfriend to date, looked elegant in a $698 (€650) Zadig and Voltaire dress, silver sandals and a matching bag. Musk, who was dressed less appropriately for the weather, wore a dark gray T-shirt, black jeans and black leather Chelsea boots.

The pair are believed to have started dating in February this year, when they were spotted getting off Elon Musk’s private jet in Los Angeles.

Musk welcomed his second child with ex-girlfriend Grimes in December last year via a surrogate. They decided to separate two months later, in September.

Since then, it seems Bassett has been well and truly welcomed by the family.

She attended multiple events in Cannes last week where Musk’s model mother, Maye, was also invited.

The pair were thought to have attended the premiere of Bassett’s new film Elvis.

Elon Musk’s previous girlfriends include Amber Heard and British actress Talulah Riley.

Bassett moved to the US from Australia when she was 19 years old. She first worked in New York and then traveled to Los Angeles. It is unclear how she and Musk met each other.

Musk is a father of seven who has been divorced three times – twice from the same woman.

He met his first wife Justine Wilson when the pair were studying together in Ontario. They married in 2000, moved to Los Angeles and welcomed their first son – Nevada – who died at just 10 weeks of SIDS.

They then had twins and then triplets; Griffin, Xavier, Damian, Saxon and Kai.

She told in an article for “Marie Claire” magazine how she considered herself to be his ‘first wife’. The pair divorced in 2008 after eight years of marriage and five children.

Musk then married British actress Talulah Riley. The pair married in 2010, then divorced in 2012. They remarried in 2013 and Musk filed for divorce, but withdrew the following year.

Eventually, Talulah filed for divorce in 2016.

He was also in a relationship with Amber Heard the following year, after her acrimonious divorce from Johnny Depp. While their relationship was short-lived (they broke up after just one year), they seem to have remained friends.

Musk honored Amber’s promised payments to the ACLU that she said she would pay using the divorce settlement from Depp.

She had pledged to give the full $7 million to charities, but revealed during questioning this week that she had not been able to and that Musk made several payments on her behalf.

After Heard, Musk moved on to singer Grimes, where the pair made their debut as a couple at the 2018 Met Gala.

They welcomed a son in May 2020 and named him X Æ A-Xii.

By September 2021, the couple broke up. However, Musk told him Page Six that they were still in ‘excellent condition’.

In December 2021, Grimes stunned the world by announcing that the pair had welcomed another child – a daughter they brought to life through a surrogate mother.

The little girl’s name is Exa Dark Sideræl, but they refer to her as ‘Y’. /Telegraph/
