Despite Charles Oliveira clearing the air, fans aren’t stopping with the jokes of Ice Spice and him potentially dating.
Last year, rumors broke out claiming that UFC fighter Charles Oliveira was dating the acclaimed singer Taylor Swift. While the Brazilian martial artist didn’t directly tackle those rumors, through a tweet Oliveira suggested that this wasn’t the case, which finally put an end to those speculations.
An edited clip of Ice Spice‘s Grammy acceptance speech has been making rounds on the internet. Enticed by the win, the rapper took the opportunity to thank her family, label, and god. However, at one point in the edited clip, it seemed like she uttered the word Do Bronx, which is the nickname for Oliveira in the octagon.
While the Brazilian fighter did put an end to the rumors, stating “No. I’m married bro. I didn’t know how that rumor popped”, fans aren’t slowing down the jokes.
One fan reacted, “It’s a shame they broke up jk”, while another chimed in, “I knew they were dating smh, Charles just doesn’t want to publicly claim her”. Another user commented “Now I get all the memes with Ice and Oliviera”, and one added, “Most random sh-t of 2024”.
Although in the original speech, the rapper said “Shoutout to The Bronx”, which is her birthplace, it doesn’t seem fans will stop running with this ongoing joke anytime soon.
Ice Spice Cleared the Air About Her Bond With Nicki Minaj
Like Charles Oliveira, Ice Spice too cleared the air surrounding her relationship with her Barbie World collaborator Nicki Minaj. Earlier this year, rumors broke out claiming that the two rappers have become distant following Spice’s leaked chats, in which she expressed frustration regarding Minaj.
Speaking of the texts, the Princess Diana rapper clarified “What I said in those texts was just in a moment of frustration around contract negotiation”. As for the duo’s bond, Spice shared that while they may not be close, they’re still good.
We don’t have the closest relationship, you know? But we’re definitely good. We’re mutuals. We had smash records together. I love us together. I think the world does too.
Spice further acknowledged Minaj’s impact on the industry, stressing that despite how she felt during those texts, she have deep respect and admiration for the Trinidadian rapper.
