65th GRAMMY Awards - Arrivals

Cardi B has always embraced her Afro-Latina heritage. She speaks fluent Spanish, and from time to time raps in the language as well. She recently showed the world her culture once again by joining with one of Latin music’s biggest new stars, and now the two have earned a top 10 smash together.

“Put Em In The Fridge” by Cardi and Peso Pluma debuts at No. 8 on this week’s Latin Digital Song Sales chart. The Billboard tally ranks the bestselling tracks in the country classified by the company as Latin, which means the charting cuts usually include some Spanish lyrics.

Cardi may be best-known for performing in English, but she’s no stranger to the Latin Digital Song Sales chart. “Put Em In The Fridge” marks her seventh top 10 hit on the tally. Looking beyond just the highest tier, she’s now pushed eight different cuts to the list.

“Put Em In The Fridge” instantly becomes Cardi’s second new top 10 smash of 2024. She and Shakira teamed up for “Punteria,” which shot right to the summit only a few months ago. That single stands out as one of the rapper’s three leaders, and it controlled the list for three frames.

Pluma is even more successful when it comes to this specific ranking. He has now earned 27 top 10 wins on the Latin Digital Song Sales chart. That sum includes half a dozen rulers.

The new single is featured on Pluma’s just-released album Éxodo. The title dropped on Thursday, June 20, which gave the set and the songs on its tracklist just one day to rack up streams and sales in order to reach the Billboard charts. In a few days, after the collection has enjoyed a full seven-day tracking frame, it’s likely that both the set and some of the tunes–including “Put Em In The Fridge”—will debut on other tallies and climb to new heights.

“Put Em In The Fridge” ranks as the third-highest debut on this week’s Latin Digital Song Sales chart. The tally is ruled by a newcomer this frame, as “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” by Karol G opens in first place. Meanwhile, Key-Key and Ozuna’s “Tengo Un Plan” starts its time on the list at No. 5.
