Hotel staff issues statement about Liam Payne’s death after 911 call is released

New details have emerged about Liam Payne’s final moments before his tragic death last month, with a hotel employee claiming the singer was trying to escape before his fatal fall

Liam Payne tragically fell to his death while trying to escape from his hotel, according to a staff member. The 911 call transcript released on Monday reveals that the employee at Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, felt the singer’s life was “in danger” when they found him allegedly drunk and causing a ruckus in the lobby.

Despite Liam, 31, threatening to use the balcony as an escape route on October 16, the police report states that he was left alone. TMZ reports that sources close to Liam reveal a recurring fear of being trapped in hotel rooms, a phobia dating back to his One Direction days.

This fear reportedly led to another balcony escape attempt in September when Liam’s security confined him to a room in a Florida rental property due to suspected drug use.

During this incident, it is alleged that the 31-year-old tried to escape via the balcony using a garden hose to descend to the ground.

On the day of his death last month, witnesses reported that the X Factor star was intoxicated and causing a disturbance in the lobby before the CasaSur Hotel staff stepped in. It is said that Liam resisted, telling staff he did not want to stay in the room and even warned them he would use the balcony to escape if confined.

Hotel staff reportedly used a master key to enter Liam’s room, despite concerns for his safety. They also removed a mirror from outside his door, fearing he might damage it.

Shortly after leaving him alone, an employee called 911, expressing concern for the singer’s wellbeing. “I don’t know whether his life may be in danger. He is in a room with a balcony, and, well, we’re a little afraid,” said the hotel worker during the emergency call, as per the transcript.

Tragically, Liam later fell from the balcony while apparently trying to escape, his body discovered with a bag over his shoulder, suggesting he was preparing to leave. This bag was not seen when he was earlier assisted to his room.

Two days posthumously, evidence emerged that Liam might have been planning a staged descent. A guest on the second floor found a leather bag with pills, whiskey, and a note marked “for Liam” on their balcony.

Police deduced that this bag, confirmed to belong to Liam and different from the one found with his body, was part of an escape attempt. The authorities have dismissed suicide, theorising that Liam was likely in a state of impaired consciousness when he fell.

Investigators are on a mission to uncover who provided Liam with the narcotics found in his body. Rogelio “Roger” Nores, a close associate of the departed musician and subject of scrutiny, has firmly rejected any responsibility for the artist’s tragic end.

He reported last being with the celeb roughly 40 minutes prior to the calamity and said he dropped by the singer’s accommodation thrice the same day. “I never abandoned Liam,” insisted Nores.

“There were over 15 people at the hotel lobby chatting and joking with him when I left. I could have never imagined something like this would happen.”

Additionally, two more individuals have been brought in for questioning – one 21 year old hotel staff member and another man aged 24 who is employed at an eatery Liam had frequented.
