Emily in Paris fans were fuming after realising one character was missing from a set of photos.
Netflix fans have noticed a huge detail in new Emily in Paris photos shared by Lily Collins this week, and they don’t like it. Lily shared the snaps on Instagram from the second part of the Netflix show, which will hit the streaming platform on September 12.
“A little something to tide you over until September 12 — a first look at @emilyinparis season four, part TWO!! Let’s see what happens when Emily takes a little Roman holiday…” Lily wrote about the snaps – one of which showed her riding a scooter in Italy with an unnamed man, while another shows her wearing a very cute butterfly backpack at the Trevi Fountain.
Among the photos was a snap of Emily and Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) holding hands at an ice skating rink, as well as a few snaps of Emily in her element – either working, having a drink or talking on the phone (sometimes it looks like she could even be doing all three at once!).
“A feast for the eyes,” one user commented, while another said, “I loved the first part can’t wait for the second one!”
“Counting down the days,” a third added.
Netflix viewers fuming over missing character
But something, or someone, was missing from the photos, and fans were very unimpressed. Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) was nowhere to be seen in Lily’s photo dump for the second part of season four.
“But… but… Alfie?!” one fan questioned.
“Justice for Alfie 😔,” another said.
“But where is ALFIE no way that was his end,” a third angry fan added.
“If it’s not Alfie we don’t care,” someone else said.
“Alfie deserves more screen time. Better yet just give him a spin-off show,” another added.
“I hope Alfie pursues her but he deserves better,” another fan said.
Thankfully, Alfie does appear in the official Emily in Paris photo dump of part two.
‘Alfie deserves better’
“Alfie deserves so much better than Emily. Leaving him on the dance floor was cruel!” yet another Alfie fan said, with someone else replying, “I know, right?! And Emily hasn’t even wondered or been like hmm maybe I should talk to Alfie and apologize for literally leaving him waiting on the dance floor. So messed up.”
“At the Emily in Paris fan screening in LA, Lily made a comment saying Alfie will be in this season a lot!!!” one user wrote, and it would appear that this is correct because over on the official Emily in Paris Instagram account, there was one photo of Alfie in the mix.
While it’s not much to go off, hopefully, Lily’s comment is true!
