One Tree Hill alum Hilarie Burton will join her real-life husband, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, on The Walking Dead as Negan’s wife, Lucille.
According to Comicbook.com, Burton will appear as a “guest star” on one of the six additional episodes in Season 10. Morgan and Burton are reported to be already working together on an episode filming in Georgia.
Fans of The Walking Dead comics will be familiar with Negan and Lucille’s story. The couple was together for the final moments before the world was consumed by the zombie virus. Negan was revealed to be having an affair, though he ultimately ended the relationship after Lucille was diagnosed with cancer. He then spent every moment possible with Lucille until she passed away right when the zombie virus began spreading across the globe. Negan then named his infamous bat after his late wife, which he used to protect himself and others from the mindless zombies.
Burton and Morgan got married in October 2019, and her credits include One Tree Hill, Grey’s Anatomy, Extant and The Secret Life of Bees.
