The 2024 BET Awards started with a bang as Megan Thee Stallion savaged Nicki Minaj by opening the night with her famous diss track Hiss.

Opening at the award ceremony, Megan stunned audiences as she made the pointed choice to fuel her ongoing rift with the famous rapper – something fans joked Nicki would “never coming back from.” The lyrics of ‘Hiss’ address different disses towards multiple artists in the rap industry who previously spoke out negatively against Megan, including Nicki.

In the track there was one bar that about “Megan’s Law” which was supposedly targeting Minaj’s husband Kenny Petty who is a registered sex offender. And while Megan’s song never explicitly mentioned any names, Minaj seemed to take it personally as she immediately hit back with her own diss track Big Foot that was unmistakably shading Megan.

The 29-year-old rapper put on an unforgettable show as she dramatically emerged from a cracked snake egg and performed her chart-topping hits Hiss, BOA, and Where Them Girls At.
