During the interview, Cooke spoke about nudity in the second season and revealed one particularly animalistic and carnal scene involving her character had been deleted from the final cut. Cooke was disappointed by the scene being omitted, particularly because she felt it added another dimension to Alicent. Here is what Cooke had to say about her deleted n*de scene from House of the Dragon season 2.
Olivia Cooke Talks About Her Deleted Carnal Scene From House of the Dragon Season 2
House of the Dragon recently returned with its sophomore outing, which sees Olivia Cooke reprise her role as Queen Alicent Hightower. While promoting the show’s second installment, Cooke did an in-depth interview with Elle, where she discussed her role in the new episodes.

In the interview, Cooke revealed that she had filmed an animalistic and carnal s*x scene for season 2, which ultimately ended up on the chopping block. She said:
It was messy as f**k. It wasn’t beautiful, and that was really fun to do.
However, Cooke revealed that showrunner Ryan Condal did not think the s*x scene revealed anything new about the characters. While Cooke disagreed with Condal, she did not have any hard feelings about the scene being deleted. She added:
I disagree with slightly, but it’s okay. It’s his show.
Cooke also noted that given the reputation of Game of Thrones, she expected her to have a lot more n*de scenes in the spin-off series.
However, Cooke noted that she was relieved to learn that whenever she has been a part of a n*de scene it has made narrative sense and furthered her character’s development. As a result, Cooke admitted that such scenes felt a part of the larger story they were trying to tell, making them worthwhile.
Olivia Cooke Reveals What to Expect From Alicent in House of the Dragon Season 2

Cooke added that as the season progresses, Alicent has to deal with her control over the court fading. The Bates Motel actress noted how power ended up corrupting her children to a point where they see her as irrelevant.
Because all of a sudden eyes aren’t on her and she can sort of do whatever she wants.
Cooke made the above statement, teasing how Alicent will use her children’s ignorance towards her to her advantage.
