JUSTIN Jefferson can’t wait to celebrate in front of London fans again – and try some British candy.

The Minnesota Vikings wide receiver will be one of the star attractions at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend.

Jefferson’s unbeaten Vikings take on the New York Jets in the first of three NFL games in the UK on consecutive Sundays.

The 25-year-old put in a sensational performance when Minnesota last came to London in 2022 and won a thriller 28-25 against the New Orleans Saints.

Jefferson had 10 catches for 147 yards and found the end zone for a touchdown before pulling off his famous ‘griddy’ celebration.

He has now developed into one of the league’s top receivers and wants to put on a show again for international fans.

“I’ve probably got to hit the griddy again,” he said when speaking to The Sun at the Minnesota Vikings team facility.

“I’m not really having that chance to play in London too many times, so whenever there’s a chance to hit the griddy for the fans, I’m going to hit it.

“We didn’t have the chance to really explore London and the city last time.

“We went with a plan to win a game and to come out on top is the best feeling in the world.”

Jefferson starred in a Netflix documentary called ‘Receiver’ that was released this summer.

Netflix cameras followed him and some other wide receivers in the NFL around during the 2023 season.

One thing that became clear was Jefferson’s love for candy, with jars of sweets all around the house.

“When I get to London I will definitely try to eat some of their sweets and see what their candy is all about,” Jefferson laughed.

“I haven’t tried like the exotic candies but if you try like our Skittles against their Skittles, they’re a little bit different.”

Jefferson has been in electric form for the Vikings this season.

London calling

The New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings will kick off the NFL’s annual run of London fixtures this weekend.

New York and Minnesota will clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday October 6 at 2.30pm local time – 9.30am ET for fans back home in America.

It will be the first of three straight NFL Sundays that begin with an early game live from London.

The following week, Tottenham also plays host to the Jacksonville Jaguars against the Chicago Bears.

And on October 20, the Jags will head across town to Wembley Stadium to take on the New England Patriots.

The 25-year-old has 20 catches for 358 yards and four touchdowns.

He combined with Sam Darnold for a 97-yard touchdown pass in the Week 2 win over defending NFC champion the San Francisco 49ers.

The wide receiver would love for the Vikings to leave London with a 5-0 record having taken down Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets.

“I’ve definitely got a little more motivation going up against their side,” he said.

“They’ve got great, tremendous players.

“Aaron Rodgers is an all-time great and one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game.

“And they’ve got some key players on defence that we will be keying on as well.”
