“I think y’all might love her nursery as much as I do! Our little heaven sent cowgirl is so loved,” Alaina wrote.
Lauren Alaina became a mom last month with the arrival of her daughter, Beni Doll Arnold, and the singer is now giving fans a look at her baby girl’s nursery in a pair of recent Instagram posts.
Alaina pre-filmed the clips ahead of Beni’s birth, giving her Instagram followers the full tour while still pregnant. “This room was so much fun to put together, and it’s literally my favorite room in the house,” Alaina wrote in the first video’s caption. “There’s so much sentimental value inside her nursery.”
That sentimental value was evident from the first few moments of the tour, when Alaina led the camera over to two chests of drawers that had belonged to her maternal grandmother and were passed down to her mom. Her mom gave them to her for Beni’s room, and they painted the piece pink and added some Western-themed drawer pulls to match the theme of the room.
The heartfelt decorations continued with a wall of art that includes a dreamcatcher that belonged to Alaina’s late stepfather, Sam, a painting by Alaina’s mother-in-law, Wendy, and a piece of art that belonged to her late father, J.J. Suddeth. Alaina also revealed that she had purchased the photograph hanging over Beni’s changing table on her very first headlining tour years ago.
Next to that photo were a pair of banjos that belonged to Alaina’s great-grandmother. “Lots of family up on the walls in here,” she said. “It means a lot to me.” The singer’s fans are also present in the nursery via a blanket made for her by a young fan named Darcy along with her grandmother.
Alaina shares Beni with husband Cam Arnold, and she joked that he “will be” stationed on the brown leather couch in the middle of the room. “This was the man cave before,” she said. “We’ve taken the man cave away and made it the nursery, so we let him keep the couch.”
The second video also gave Alaina’s followers a look at Beni’s wooden crib with a celestial mobile above it and a basket signed by some of Alaina’s fellow Grand Ole Opry members and filled with stuffed animals gifted to Beni by Alaina’s family members.
Last on the tour was a tiny statue of a cardinal given to Alaina by her neighbor. “She said that when you see cardinals, it’s a sign of a passed loved one visiting you, so I keep this in here for my dad,” she said. “And the craziest thing, we have a cardinal that flies up to the window and pecks on the window constantly now. Constantly. So, my dad. It makes me smile every time I see it.”
The Georgia native captioned the second part of the nursery tour, “I think y’all might love her nursery as much as I do! Our little heaven sent cowgirl is so loved.”
Beni Doll Arnold was born on June 11, weighing 7 lbs, 13 oz and measuring 19 inches long, and Alaina announced her daughter’s birth with a series of photos on Instagram of herself and Arnold with their daughter.
“The right words are hard to find to describe how parts of my heart that I didn’t even know existed were unlocked at 8:44 am when they laid you on my belly for the first time,” she wrote. “I will never be the same. You, to your dad and me, are absolute perfection. We are honored God chose us to be your parents.”
