Charlie Cox As Daredevil Looking Over His Shoulder In Daredevil Born Again Footage

Daredevil: Born Again‘s first trailer shows a glimpse of Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk’s reunion, confirming that the MCU series continues the events of Netflix’s Daredevil. The footage is shown in a video highlighting Marvel Television’s 2025 slate, including first looks at Ironheart and Wonder Man. In addition to Daredevil and Kingpin, the Born Again footage includes returning faces, such as Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, and newcomers, like the villain Muse.

After Matt Murdock appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home, many wondered what his MCU project would look like. Initial reports suggested that Daredevil: Born Again would take Matt in a different direction, with a new cast besides Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. However, that version of the series was scrapped, and Marvel decided to continue the Netflix series and make it canon. Daredevil and Kingpin have appeared in other MCU projects, including HawkeyeShe-Hulk, and Echo, but this will be the first time they’ll meet since Daredevil season 3.

What The Daredevil: Born Again Trailer Reveals

The Daredevil: Born Again trailer features much of what audiences want to see in a continuation of the Netflix series. It features Matt kicking and flipping in his Daredevil suit, teasing the excellent action scenes viewers should expect. There are also quick glimpses of Punisher and Muse, a serial killer who turns his kills into art. A surprising addition is Yusuf Khan, Ms. Marvel’s father, who witnesses Matt fight a crew of criminals. It’s unclear how Yusuf factors into the show, but it’s clear that Marvel is interweaving Daredevil into its universe more.

The most intriguing part of this trailer is the relationship between Matt and Fisk. The two are sitting together in a diner, seemingly at a truce. Echo ends with Kingpin getting the idea to run for mayor of New York City, and he’s following through as it looks like he’s giving a political speech toward the end of the trailer. The rivals are likely playing a game of wits at the diner, as there’s no way Matt will allow Fisk to take control of the city, especially if Kingpin still controls his criminal empire.

Our Take On The Daredevil: Born Again Trailer

Daredevil: Born Again‘s footage promises to deliver exactly what audiences want. It includes much of the same dark and gritty action from the Netflix series with the serious, mature tone that sets this show apart. Kingpin and Daredevil are picking up right where they left off, and it’s exciting to see their dynamic play out further. Yusuf’s addition also proves this series will be more engrossed in the MCU, meaning there could be more surprises that haven’t been spoiled yet.

While not featured in the trailer, many other cast members are returning, including Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye. While it is on Disney+, the service recently added a TV-MA option, meaning this series could feature the same level of violence and brutality as the Netflix series. Regardless of its level of violence, audiences should be ecstatic to see Daredevil: Born Again continue what made the Netflix show great.
