Fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 have had a huge amount of fresh post-launch content to enjoy in recent weeks, with the mid-way point of the game’s first season officially starting on December 5. Known as Season One Reloaded, this milestone for the title has brought a wave of new experiences for players to enjoy, with this content being spread across core multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.
Some of the most eye-catching content for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s Season One Reloaded include the hotly-anticipated Zombies map Citadelle des Morts, new weapons, attachments, limited-time modes, and exciting events, with fans also having access to the game’s first batch of content relating to a real-world holiday. This year’s CODMAS event is already well underway, with its huge amount of limited-time modes and lucrative rewards making up a large portion of Season One Reloaded’s offerings.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s CODMAS Event Covers Everything Black Ops 6 Has to Offer
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s CODMAS event kicked off simultaneously with the launch of Season One Reloaded on December 5, bringing a range of changes that fans can already sink their teeth into. In terms of core multiplayer, players can now enjoy the newly-added Nuketown Holiday map in its own 24/7 playlist, with the iconic location being given a festive makeover with blankets of snow and a range of Christmas decorations.
A range of new limited-time modes will also be added to Black Ops 6‘s core multiplayer thanks to CODMAS, with the Ran-sack mode being a festive re-skin of the popular smash-and-grab Ransack mode, replacing the mode’s usual gold bars with cookies that players need to steal and deposit to win. A similar approach has been taken for CODMAS’ other limited-time core multiplayer mode, Infectious Holiday, which offers a comparable festive makeover to the iconic Infected party mode.
While the new Citadelle des Morts map might be taking a lot of the Zombies spotlight at the moment, this aspect of Black Ops 6 has its own exciting CODMAS additions to look forward to. Liberty Falls is set to receive its own festive re-skin in the near future, for example, with the fan-favorite Jingle Hells mode from Cold War finally making another franchise appearance in Black Ops 6. The first major event for CODMAS is also entirely zombie-themed with its rewards, with players having to earn XP to unlock the new Light Mend ammo mod, Tesla Storm field upgrade, Maelstrom shotgun, and a variety of other zombified cosmetics.
Warzone Gets its Own Content to Cap Off Black Ops 6’s Generous CODMAS Offerings
Warzone is also the recipient of its own festive gifts thanks to this year’s CODMAS event, with two limited-time modes also being added to the popular battle royale experience. Holiday Rush is one mode being added to the Area 99 map, offering lightning-fast gameplay with the addition of throwable snowballs and loot-filled Christmas trees scattered across the map. For the larger Urzikstan map, players can play the Slay Ride Resurgence limited-time mode, which sees the map’s train be hijacked by Undead Santa, with players then having to fight off against each other for control of it.
Another event is set to roll out for Black Ops 6‘s CODMAS on December 19, with players having to rack up kills to unwrap gifted rewards in Archie’s Festival Frenzy. Once players have unlocked 12 of these exciting rewards, they will get access to the AMR Mod 4 Sniper Rifle, making Archie’s Festival Frenzy one event that fans should not miss out on. As expected, the CODMAS event also comes with its own bundles in Black Ops 6‘s in-game store, with players being able to purchase some eye-catching festive operator skins and weapon blueprints in the Season’s Bleedings and Sweater Ops bundles. CODMAS is becoming a growing staple of Call of Duty‘s annual content formula, and Black Ops 6 has got the celebratory event off to a fantastic start.
