“If you were a fan of the first two seasons of The Lincoln Lawyer, you will love this season,” FandomWire critic Ricky Valero said of Season 3 in a review. “The writers have found the best parts of Michael Connelly’s books and brought them to the small screen to develop a courtroom drama worthy of binging.”

Another review by Nick Bythrow of Screen Rant stated, “The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 offers a tightly-focused story on Mickey Haller’s most compelling case yet, as the Netflix original procures a wild ride.”

“It’s clear why Netflix was quick to renew The Lincoln Lawyer,” Sherin Nicole of RIOTUS also said. “[Its] ability to deliver headline-inspired cases and cracked-up but comforting characters, upended by pathos-laced arcs, makes it one to look forward to.”

Meanwhile, CBR’s own Brittany Frederick also gave high praise to Season 3. In a review of the premiere, Frederick wrote, “The Lincoln Lawyer has returned to Netflix right on time, and Season 3 is worth the wait. The third go-around in Mickey Haller’s world is the most compelling one, because of the season’s increased emotional stakes and its further look into what made Mickey the man audiences have come to root for. if there was somehow still any doubt that the TV show is better than the Matthew McConaughey movie, this season quashes it.”

The series is based on The Lincoln Lawyer books by Michael Connelly, and Season 3 takes inspiration from the fifth book in the series, The Gods of Guilt. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo returns for Season 3 as Mickey Haller, joined by Becki Newton (Lorna), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), Angus Sampson (Cisco), and Yaya DaCosta (Andrea Freeman).
