Megyn Kelly was not happy with what Charlize Theron said about her.

Megyn Kelly has become quite a controversial figure over the years. However, there is no denying that she played an important role in the Fox News scandal against the founder, Roger Ailes, during the MeToo movement. This was perfectly depicted in Charlize Theron’s 2019 film, Bombshell. The film was an exceptional success, even winning an Academy Award, and the journalist seemed to agree with this.

However, this sentiment seems to have changed over the years. Not because of the film and its story, but because of something the actress said during the press tour. Kelly recently spoke out about a comment Theron made about her assault that made her very upset.

Megyn Kelly Was Not Happy With Charlize Theron

When a film is based in reality, it is quite common for questions to be asked in reference to the real story. The press tour for Charlize Theron’s Bombshell was no different. Since the film was a rendition of the real experiences of Megyn Kelly and Gretchen Carlson had with the MeToo movement, the questions were related to their lives as well.

There was one particular question that seemed to have rubbed Kelly the wrong way, and she has finally spoken about it, five years after the release of the film. During the press tour, the actress was asked to comment on the timing of when Kelly spoke out against Roger Ailes.

“When she went on her media tour to promote the movie, people said to her something like, ‘Well, Megyn Kelly wasn’t the first, she had been harassed by him years earlier and she didn’t come out with it until years later.’ And she had the nerve to say, ‘Megyn Kelly was late to the party. No question…’”

During a recent segment of The Megyn Kelly Show, she talked about this interaction, being very upset with what Theron said.

Speaking in the same lines as Charlize Theron, Megyn Kelly pointed out that the actress was not even a part of the ‘party’. The journalist talked about Theron’s own assault, stating that she herself did not come out about it for years. Having taken time to speak out when she was ready, she did not have the right to say such things about someone else.

“B—h you weren’t even at the party. You’d never f–king came forward with any allegations. I’m sure you were harassed. But you’re too p—y-footed to say anything about it. So take a seat,” she added. “So I was, like, so pissed about it.”

Kelly even took it a step further, calling the actress a coward for not coming out about her assault earlier. She also added that she needed to take a step back and exit the conversation of people who came out about their experiences during the movement. It is safe to say that the entire situation is quite odd.
