Shedeur received criticism during and after the contest.

The Buffalo signal-caller completed 23-of-38 passes with 244 passing yards and one touchdown pass.

However, Sanders threw an interception which was returned for a touchdown.

With Colorado down by 18 points with two minutes left in the fourth quarter, a video showed Sanders leaving the game early.

Head coach Deion Sanders’ son was seen walking with security into the locker room.

Sanders had been removed from the game before the sequence.

Still, fans didn’t agree with the 22-year-old’s move.

“Shedeur leaving his teammates before the end of the game is reflective of the Colorado team’s culture. It’s a joke,” one commented.

“This is a terrible look,” another said.

“Quitting time for Shedeur?” another asked.

“I lost all respect for Sanders,” a fourth added.

The NFL icon Deion was asked about his son’s decision after the game.

He said that he believes his son is fine mentally and physically.

Deion also said Shedeur was a “little banged up” after the game but was doing well.

The quarterback was sacked five times.

“Protections were a problem,” Deion told reporters about the team’s offensive line.

“You know, I’m trying to be polite and say it, because you know I can say the same thing you’re thinking, but if I say it, you’d say I’m throwing my guys up under the bus.

“I’m not doing that whatever over. Protection were a problem. We got figure out a way to prevent that and do a better job with that.

The Buffaloes are now 1-1 for the season.

They will play Colorado State next week.
