Walking Dead alumni Michael Cudlitz and Josh McDermitt will attend the UK for a brand new comic convention next month; here is what we know so far.
The Walking Dead universe is a fanbase that is fortunate to have a wide variety of chances to experience encounters with the cast and crew of the show. Social media interactions, television appearances, visiting the set and official shop of the franchise are just a handful of things fans have to experience over the years. And, if you are a pop culture fan, you will know all about opportunities that come from comic conventions. This year, FanX Live, a brand new UK convention, will host two of our TWD family members this October.
One thing that makes being a fan of those nerdy and geeky shows is getting the chance to visit and attend comic cons that allow you to buy very cool merch from your favorite shows and movies, visit engrossing panels, Q&A with some of the finest names, and also getting the chance to meet your idols! Are there better places? I think not.
Soon, fans of The Walking Dead in the UK will have the chance to meet two iconic characters from the series at the upcoming FanXLive convention. They can sometimes be a little confusing for first-time con-goes to navigate. So here is all you need to know before the event.
Iconic Walking Dead duo to visit UK Convention

This exciting event will be at The Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, which has accessible facilities. This venue is only a 35-minute train journey from London Waterloo, or for people traveling via car, is close to the M3, and even better, the venue has free parking!
FanX Live is a brand new con that promises to be an incredible event. There will be cosplay meet-ups, masquerades, guest panels, prop and photo opportunities, gaming zones for tabletop and video gaming, vendor areas, autograph sessions, and “so much more!” to be announced. And kids ten and under can attend for free!
There is an array of fantastic guests in the lineup. Two that TWDU fans will recognize are Michael Cudtliz (Sgt Abraham Ford) and Josh McDermitt (Eugene Porter), but attendance at the convention can be subject to change. This iconic duo will participate in events throughout the weekend, such as autographs and photo ops. The panel schedule is yet to be released, but wouldn’t it be great to see TWDU participate?
It will be a fantastic convention for multiple reasons. But one thing that will make this special is that it will be McDermitt’s first UK con in 5 years, and the fact he will be attending with Cudlitz is a fantastic way for him to return. What an iconic pair!
There are different levels of tickets available for purchase for the weekend; general tickets are £8 for those under 16, and the adult price is £20. Priority tickets are £10 for those under 16 and £25 for adults for one day at the con only. Weekend priority tickets are £15 for under 16 and £45 for adults, with the priority entrance time being from 10 a.m.
VIP tickets grant you extra early access from 9.30 a.m., priority queues for autographs and photo ops, priority queues at panels, an event T-shirt with a lanyard, and 25% off of the official FanX Live merchandise store across the weekend. This package costs £120 for either Saturday or Sunday or £200 for the weekend. So there is a broad range of options for people who would love to attend.
It is going to be an exciting weekend for everyone in attendance. Other announced guests include Dean O’Gorman, David Bradley, Kristin Bauer Van Straten, Emmett J. Scanlan, Tom Rosenthal, Mark Addy, Nick Kellington, and Samuel Anderson, to name just a few, along with a range of other artists and writers. What a jam-packed couple of days!
