He joins an already star-studded cast.
The Walking Dead star Pruitt Taylor Vince will be joining the Kent family, as he lands a major role in the upcoming Superman movie.
According to TheWrap, Pruitt will be starring as Jonathan Kent, Superman’s adoptive father.
Jonathan and his wife Martha find Superman as a young child, when the Kryptonian’s spaceship lands on Earth.
In the past, the iconic role of Superman’s dad has been played by Kevin Costner in Man of Steel (2013) and Glenn Ford in Superman (1978).
The upcoming reboot is part of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters of the James Gunn DC Universe relaunch.
Vince is well known for his various TV and movie roles including Stranger Things, Agents of SHIELD, True Blood, Identity, The Walking Dead, Birdbox, and Murder One. His new series Lady in the Lake will be released in the summer.
