The Walking Dead’s Season 10 bonus episodes will reportedly include a frightening plan involving Maggie and Negan when the show returns later this month.

“Our resident Deadhead, Charlie Mason — having seen the first of Season 10’s half-dozen add-ons — tells me that the AMC series upends expectations by doing something with Maggie and Negan that’s arguably more chilling than letting Glenn’s widow and his killer immediately clash,” TVLine confirmed.

Sources close to the show also confirmed that the first new Season 10 episode, “Home Sweet Home,” will introduce a new threat and a connection between Kelly and a mystery suitor.

A released promo for the upcoming Season 10 episodes showed Negan teasing that something very bad is in the works. The clip opened with him asking, “What can I say?” while sitting in front of a fire. “Here we are again.” As footage of other characters in the show begins to roll, the character added in a voice-over, “Last time we did this, you said that I talk too much. Y’see, this time… You best hope I never stop talking. Because when I do, something very terrible is going to happen to you.”

In other Walking Dead-related news, actor Steve Yeun — who portrayed Glenn Rhee — recently dished on why he exited the series at the start of Season 7. “I couldn’t be stuck servicing just a genial natured guy for the rest of my career,” Yeun said at the time. “On the inside, I didn’t feel that way. On the inside, I can be angry, I can be vengeful. I can be all the other things, and I wanted to explore those things for myself.” Glenn met his end in the Season 7 premiere, at the hands of Negan and his baseball bat Lucille.
