5. Last Day on Earth

The introduction of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) could not have sent excitement levels higher among TWD fans.

However, his debut in the season six finale, Last Day on Earth, left many not just disappointed, but angry.

Negan had captured the main members of the community and was ready to reign terror over them for the first time.

Fans knew he’d end up killing at least one of the main characters and were tenterhooks to find out who.

However, the episode ended on an almighty cliffhanger which left many viewers disappointed.

It was reflected in the rating as The Walking Dead fans only rated the episode 6.5/10 on IMDb.

4. Time for After

Season eight, episode seven revolved around Eugene (Josh McDermitt) and his struggles with conforming to Negan’s way of life.

Eugene had joined forces with Negan initially to make bullets.

However, his expertise led to Negan treating him as one of the higher-ups in the hierarchy.

Eugene’s struggles weren’t enough to captivate avowers and the episode is rated a lowly 6.4/10.

3. Monsters

Another episode from season eight finds itself in the lowest-rated episodes in history.

The third instalment Monsters saw an old face return in the form of Morales (Juan Pareja).

He hadn’t been since the very first season and now found himself working as one of Negan’s Saviours.

The episode largely followed.his reunion with Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) as he plotted to attack the Saviours.

Pareja’s cameo wasn’t enough to make a positive impact with viewers and the episode is currently rated 6.3/10.

2. The King, the Widow and Rick

Another casualty of season eight was the sixth episode, The King, the Widow and Rick.

In the episode, Hilltop struggled to come up with a plan for a group of captured Saviours.

Elsewhere, Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) and new ally Siddiq (Avi Nash) battled to make their way back after crossing paths.

Neither story wowed viewers and a rating of just 6.1/10 certainly reflects this.

1. Swear

Officially the worse episode in TWD history according to IMDb goes to season seven yawn-fest, Swear.

This episode followed Tara (Alanna Masterson) as she discovers a new all-female community.

The women were all under the orders of Negan and were determined to kill any stranger to cross their path after living in fear for so long.

Tara manages to calm some of the group and create somewhat of an alliance.

However, with almost all of the series’ main characters missing from the episode, the drama surrounding Tara wasn’t enough to earn the approval of viewers.

So much so, the IMDB rating for the episode currently sits at a panful 5.6/10.
