The Golden Globes could give a hint to the future of the hit Marvel show.
Agatha All Along, the hit Marvel/Disney+ television show starring Kathryn Hahn as the titular Agatha, aired its final episode in October, and after the finale, many viewers are curious if there will be a season 2 of Agatha All Along.
While there have been no definitive updates yet, the 2025 Golden Globes could hold a hint to the show’s future: Marvel submitted the series in the “comedy” category, not “limited series,” hinting that it could return for a second season. As Variety noted, “Although the show was conceived as a miniseries, the announcement regarding its category shifts strongly indicates that Agatha All Along, which follows the morally complex yet irresistibly charismatic witch Agatha Harkness, could continue beyond a single season.”
Agatha served as a sequel of sorts to 2021’s WandaVision, and is described as part of a trilogy of Marvel TV shows. As one reddior commented, “I think this show really is WandaVision Season 2, but they obviously couldn’t call it that due to the noticeable lack of Wanda and Vision.” The third series in the trilogy, tentatively titled Vision Quest, will focus on Paul Bettany’s Vision, and will likely begin filming early next year.
Of course, there’s always a chance that Marvel and Disney+ could change their minds and make more Agatha All Along. It’s also likely that characters from the series will pop up in other Marvel Cinematic Universe projects in the future. As creator Jac Schaeffer said, “I still feel like there’s more road to explore with Agatha as a ghost. Get ready.”
